  • i bet most people commenting dont even pray 5 times a day

  • Sufi/salafi bashing bears no fruit. Most of us posting (myself included) have little knowledge compared to the 'ulama and are bent on excluding people from Islam. Purification of the heart is an essential part of Islam. Some fringe groups neglect halal/haram while doing so, whilst others are so obsessed with fiqh that there is no room for purification. We are a middle nation following both the spirit and letter of the law. Most sufis I know follow the rules and most salafis have a good heart.

  • I think we all need to be careful with our accusations and have some intellectual humility. This is a snippet from a long talk about seemingly new challenges in applying Islam to our context. He is merely saying that the erroneous idea of women leading prayers has been discussed by our scholars, with the stray opinion of a couple giving conditional permissibility out of thousands against. I find it unfair to conclude that he is condoning women leading mixed prayers from this video.

  • sufi's man, always trying to change what is haraam halal. I've got sufi mates, and they say it's ok to be gay, lesbian, drugs, as long as your polishing your heart it's ok.@ jahur101, interesting you call him undercover zionist, what makes you say he is zionist??

  • @MuslimVlogGuy, it is comments like yours that hurt our Ummah...

  • i think a lot of people are not understanding the point of what hamza yusuf is saying. hes NOT justifying that women can lead the men in prayer, he doesnt follow that. hes pointing to the fact that these so called modern issues such as womens rights were already discussed by islamic scholars throughout history. islam has a deep scholarly tradition and most of the arguments some people are bringing up now have most likely already been debated.

  • TO INNOVATE ISLAM?????????? DID I HEAR THAT CORRECTLY? THAT IS HARAM BIG TIME? INNOVATIING MEANS CHANGING IN THE WAY THAT IS MOST SUITABLE TO YOU? MAY ALLAH GUIDE THOSE LOST SOULS TO THE RIGHT PAD BEFORE IT IS TO LATE. MAY ALLAH CURSE THE LIARS WITHIN THE ISLAM. AMIN

  • Ok. That is why Aisha (RA) never lead the prayer during the time of the sahaba. Islam is CLEAR, Please do not make it a matter of 'intellect' when it really is a matter of innovations.

  • • Some Muslim Scholars quote [the Ḥadīth wherein the Prophet Muḥammad (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) gave Umm Waraqah permission to led her household in prayer (narrated by Abū Dāwūd, 591), they say that she used to lead the people of her house in Prayer, among whom were men and boys.] as evidence -- daleel -- that a woman may lead a man in Prayer, but only in cases of necessity, and what is meant by necessity is when there is no man who can recite Al-Fātiḥah properly.

    ◘ Ḥāshiyah Ibn Qâsim, 2/313

  • Generally, it is the scholarly consensus, that women shouldn't lead men in Prayer. There is an exception made by the Ḥanbalī Scholars. This view says that a woman may lead the men in the Tarâwīḥ (Late-Night Ramaḍân Prayers) if she reads well and all the men present are illiterate, but she should be behind them and they should be in front of her. But there is no evidence to support this view, apart from the report of Umm Waraqah leading some of her mahrams (unmarriageable relatives) in her house.

  • Of course women can lead the prayer if they could not then you would not have been born and there would be no Mankind

  • @MuslimVlogGuy You're talking bad to him as if he is going to read your comment. You should check yourself as well brother. Shaikh Ibn Taymiyya (Rahimahullah) may have said it SOMEWHERE .. how can you accuse him of lying. He would think twice before lying about a certain muslim. Now you're accusing him of slander when you know very well that you haven't read EVERYTHING there is from Shaikh Ibn Taymiyya. You can only say that you just haven't read that from Shaikh Ibn Taymiyya, and go find out.

  • @lolhahah21

    "You should check yourself."

Shut up. I'm tired of seeing those kinds of comments by ignorant people..

Yes, we "wahabis" know Ibn Taymiyah really well. More than this useless sufi.

  • @MuslimVlogGuy Do you hear yourself? This is what is so wrong about salafis man.. They think that they are the true muslims of all the ummah after the salaf. Tasawwuf is correct. Some things have crept in which the correct followers of tasawwuf will agree and explain as well. You ppl don't like to hear any of their explanations and just shun them off as deviant people. You people speak big words and say all the sufis are lying about the deen of Allah but just remember your group is a minority.

  • @lolhahah21

and if you tell me "you need to work on the adhab" i will tell u to shut up once again, because i'm sick of that from you sufi supporters..

you people lie about the deen of Allaah.

  • @MuslimVlogGuy I've noticed this a lot that salafis aren't even 100 % followers of what Shaikh Ibn Taymiyya said. They won't say he was wrong on something, but they'll ignore him on it.You guys say you follow the Qur'an and Sunna but your interpretations of the Qur'an and Sunna are very unique and you claim that is the way of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam) and the salaf. Like how do YOU guys being a minority believe that out of the whole umma you got it right on what Islam truly is.

  • @MuslimVlogGuy where did he slander?

  • @MuslimVlogGuy Instead of cursing, refute what he has said...

  • ISLAM IS FALSE! ALLAH DOES NOT EXIST! MUHAMMAD PLAGIARIZED MOST OF THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE & CALLED IT THE QURAN HE TOOK OUT PARTS OF THE BIBLE & ADDED HORRIBLE STUFF & LIES LIKE KILL THE INFIDELS, ABUSE FEMALES & OTHER TRASH! MUHAMMAD CALLED JESUS CHRIST GREAT PROPHET & VIRGIN BIRTH! CHRIST WHO CAME LONG BEFORE MUHAMMAD SAID THE BIBLE IS SEALED & CLOSED & ALL OTHERS ARE FALSE PROPHETS! (MUHAMMAD IS FALSE & EVIL!) RUN FROM ISLAM TO THE ONLY TRUTH JESUS CHRIST FOR ETERNAL LIFE VISIT cbn.com /podcast

  • Be aware of Hamza Yousef and his companions of the Sufiism way.

  • This guys seems like a liar the way e was tongue twisting, oh i found th under lying the under what the underlineg of that.... man shut up. they read books of liars and your appreance of beard isn't even Sunnah.

  • @UT5000 Stop accusing him of lying. Just because you don't agree with him you're accusing him and the scholars who actually did say these things as liars.

  • @lolhahah21

but why would he lie and talk about prominenet scholars who didn't say it and slander them, that is worse, so it doesn't include the schoalrs he is slandering like Ibn taymiyyah rahimahullah, but other devaitns who he follows liars follow liars.

  • @UT5000 He's said it on two different occasions that hair doesn't grow from those spots on his jawline and that's why he doesn't have it. He said he doesn't shave and he wishes he had a beard!

  • @lolhahah21

If his beard doesn't grow then i apologize, astagfiurllah, however, he is still a Sufi bidah liar, here aqeedah is freaking different thats how you know its a sect away. From teh Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad Peace and blessings be upon him.

  • @UT5000 Copy and paste into search, "To those who like to judge Shaykh Hamza Yusuf Al Maliki on his beard..." and click on that video and you will see him say it with his tongue. Don't ever assume.

  • Sunni Islam and Sufi are not the same, Sufism is Sunni Islam mixed with bhudism and hinduism and x-ity, they don't stick to proves of Prophets Compaions peace adn blessings be upon them, they mix Islam w/ other culutres and religions and there sayings, hadiths that are weak that came from hypocrites of ISlam. They say Allah is everywhere includin dirty places that is from x-ity, Allah says IN Qur'an he is above the Throne.

Islam is complete way of life, adding/subtracting makes it les complete.

  • it's troubling to see so many opinions against Hamza, that assume he is advocating women leading the salat, when as the caption states, he agrees that it is not allowed in Islam. That we are so quick to make such judgments in the face of contrary evidence is an indicator of why we are seen as backwards and foolish as a worldwide Ummah...

  • @tajuddin Word homie. I am worried for the Ummah. I refuse to associate myself with people like this, unfortunately, the majority of people are like this.

  • Very wise religious teacher. Treat others as you would like others to treat you. That's all there is to true religion.

  • If women were given permission to lead the salah of men in the masjid by Prophet Muhammad SAW, then many other very able and qualified women in the time of the Prophet and after him would have been leading salah in the mosque.

Prophet Muhammad SAW is reported to have said “Pray as you see me praying.” So the example of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and the Companions and the generations that came after them have to be followed.

  • Comment removed

  • For full equality in Islam women must have the option to lead the prayer should she be skilled in this.

Women are Spiritual Leaders too in all that we do of course some may be better at this than others however even if a man or a woman never pray their whole lives but do good in the world, look after themselves, others & the world this is prayer in action or a prayer answered.

    Ma Salam

  • May ALLAH guide this BROTHER....he is misleading people wallah,,,more so, using scholars name to say a lie....PLEASE GIVE US PROOF WHERE SHEIKHUL ISLAM said so....make ALLAH guide us all

  • Walahi why do you people innovate? Why is it so hard for them to stick to the Quran and Sunnah. They say 'we only intended good', did not the people before you say that? And those before them? And how many were destroyed? Can you even hear from them now? Even the slightest whisper? This Deen was made easy for us, As Allah Glorious and Exalted is He, says in the Noble Qur'an, "Allah wants to make things easy for you, and mankind was ever created weak." May Allah Guide us to the straight path.

  • Shame of you all......Wallaahi Al-3adhiem, Shame for you all people. Go to you're houses and learn tawhied and sunnah.

  • this crasy guy is lunatic and may allah but him the hell fire to the deepest. he is misleading the people. what he said is not true and he is a lier.

  • @sulaqa You shouldn'y say something so harsh as that. Where is the mercy? Shouldn't we ask Allah to guide him rather than put him in the depth of the hell fire? Even if he is as you say he is, should we still not ask Allah to guide him. He has a huge following, then maybe everyone else would also be guided to the truth through his guidance, rather than them all going to the hell fire him, as you say he deserves. We need to show more mercy, then maybe Allah will show it to us.

  • In the age when science is probing the far reaches of space, these people are legitimately concerned with a woman standing in front of a large group of people who get together to talk to an imaginary friend.

  • this mazahahi people only follow what their imam says not what the Prophet (swa) said. they believe we must follow one mazahab (1out of 4), like this bedaati Hamza Yusuf did't say any thing about the hadith of the Prophet (swa).

  • remember guys little knowledge makes you ignorant of the truth!

  • Aisha lead armies of men in battle while riding on camels...... LOL why do muslims think women cant lead prayers ?? oh ! and saudi arabia wont let women drive cars !!! xD ironic isnt ? :P

  • no evidence from quraan and sunnah. may ALLAH guide you brother hamza. islam doesnt need any renovation or innovation. abandon sufiism accept real islam.

  • @maddybbboy although i agree with you.... but what are you talking about.... be aware i havent completed watching the video as of yet... but i dont follow a madhab nor tawassuf or whatever its called... my real question is are you saying... women are allowed to lead salaah? fe amanillah.. as salaamu alaykum wr wb.... (sorry if i dony make sense feeling a bit hypoglycemic :S)

  • @RakeyRaker women cant lead salah . that will be an inovation which is forbidden in isalm innovation in deen.

  • @maddybbboy agreed.

  • @maddybbboy Abondon sufism and accept real Islam? What kind of a statement is this?

I am a sufi and no real sufi says anything like women can lead a prayer before men! This is bullshit. And Ibn Taymiyyah was a deviant muslim! What he says cannot be taken as true!

A woman can lead the prayer only for women

  • @stickandcode Akhi, how dare you to call him a deviant muslim!

Sufism is, and will always be, an innovative SECT. What is so beautiful of the life of our beloved prophet sala allahu alayhi wa salam is that you wouldnt be ABLE to do all the worship he was doing. Why invent more?

How can sufism be right when there is a thousand darikas? What will unite the ummah is the sunnah not inventing to split up the ummah!

Watch this lecture inshallah, for your own sake:

    /watch?v=RL5L7FeRSYE

  • @maddybbboy - "Innovation" is to bring into the Religion something completely new, unheard of, baseless/fabricated! That's the condemned بِدْعَة (Bid`ah). #StayAway

As for "renovation" of the Religion, the Prophet Muhammad himself spoke of this, when he said at the head of every century, Allah will send for this Ummah someone who will "Renovate" their Religion for them - من يجدد لها دينها someone who will make "tajdeed" (renovation, a kind of rebuilding; a renewal) of the Deen for that century!

  • @abdelbaasit1 no, its actually about reviving the sunnah not making new things.. innovation and renovation is completely out of the question. muhammad(PBUH) " every innovation is misguidance and every misguidance shall lead to hell fire" sahih tirmizi. you onlyy innovate or renovate or change things here and there when you dont think that the religion has been completed by ALLAH and taught by muhyammad(PBUH). no room for innovation

  • @maddybbboy That's why the majority of the ummah has believed in tasawwuf or whatever you want to call it.. for 1000s of years. Just because some people practice some things in tasawwuf that step out of the boundaries (and I'm not hinting to any of the righteous 'ulama) DOESN'T mean that you should discard tasawwuf 100 %.. that's what salafis do. They claim to be on the path of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam) and the sahaba .. and no one else is... the salafis need guidance.

  • @lolhahah21 if sufiism was really about onlu tasawwuf then we dont have any problemo, but its the practices they have invented, v have problem with that. sufis invent new things like dancing and making nabi(SAW) equal to ALLAH. thats totally wrong one sufi even said ALLAH and muhammaD(SAW) became 1, when he(SAW) went on meraaj. . v have to understand islam how salaf al saliheen understood islam, but v must not make it a new sect and call our self salafis. .

  • @maddybbboy The dancing you speak of is allowed *with certain conditions* for certain madhahib according to the shafi'i madhab and its 'ulama. It's not as simple as you're thinking. There are some things which people have introduced into tasawwuf but you cannot brand all of the dancing as the bid'a haraam acts. This is the problem with salafis, they think whatever they see in the Qur'an and sunna etc. is islam and everything that they don't see is batil and classified as bid'a.

  • @lolhahah21 i believe that every thing about the religion is there in quran and sunnah, and if v insert new things in Islam then it will be bidaa, nabi(SAW) said sahihhadith" and thing

The best of speech is the Book of Allaah and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of things are those which are newly-invented, and every innovation is a going astray…" (reported by Muslim, no. 867)

  • @maddybbboy 'Whoever innovates something in this matter of ours that is not a part of it will have it rejected.'" (Reported by al-Bukhaari, Fath al-Baari, no. 2697)

  • @lolhahah21 This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion…" [al-Maa'idah 5:3]

  • @lolhahah21 tahir ul qadri (famous sufi) he said 'one who believe that muhammad(SAW) and ALLAH are are 2 not 1 then they are kaafir and mushrik. . astaghfirullah.

  • @maddybbboy IF HE REALLY DID SAY THAT... obviously his statement means that they are on the same page. That they are one and the same in agreement. He doesn't mean that they are 1 as if the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) is God as well! It makes me wonder how you guys interpret these things from certain scholars. Honestly, if you really heard him say this, please show the proof because no true scholar would ever think Allah and his Rasool (SAWS) are equal in the way you interpreted it.

  • al-Bukhaari (4425) narrated that Abu Bakrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No people will ever succeed who appoint a woman as their leader.”

  • WHAT IS THIS GUY THINKING! imagine a woman leading prayers do u think that any of the men praying 'infront of her' wont be attracted to her voice. i assure u that sheikh al Ibn Taimiyah never said this itaqi allah Hamza yusuf!

  • @binothaimeen In the video he said Ibn Taimiyah said it is permissible if all the men are illiterate.

  • from my understanding it's very true many scholars one specifically Ahmad Sakr in his how to perform salat explained it and another forgotten practice is taasbih salat which during ramadan it was introduced to me and I thought it was a innovation but it is a actual sunni may allah(swt) preserve and create more authentic scholars of knowledge so the shaytan (aaoudabillah)can stop tricking us or stop making us think that sunna is not that important

  • @binothaimeen Some Muslim Scholars quote [the Ḥadīth wherein the Prophet Muḥammad gave Umm Waraqah permission to led her household in prayer (narrated by Abū Dāwūd, 591), they say that she used to lead the people of her house in Prayer, among whom were men and boys.] as evidence -- daleel -- that a woman may lead a man in Prayer, but only in cases of necessity, and what is meant by necessity is when there is no man who can recite (Surah - The Chapter of) Al-Fātiḥah properly.

  • @binothaimeen ◘ Ḥāshiyah Ibn Qâsim, 2/313 ☺

  • where is the authentic prove hamza yusuf?

  • He said if a woman is more qualified than a man. So what is the difference who leads the prayer. There are thousands ad Hadith prabably there is one about this issue. Do not undergrads women of your ummma. Sometime women are more literate and educated than some ignorant man.

  • Comment removed

  • no mater what women can't lead man who says it's right he is Satan!

  • hamza yousuf is a sufi...so if u are a muslim, and islam is ur religion, dont take advice from him, his beliefs are off. listen to other, more qualified sheikhs, if hamza yousuf is ur sheikh, u are lost, and may Allah guide us

  • @theahmadal hamza is a wahabi sufi...and if you are a wahabi ibn taymiyah follower your lost

  • @GreasyVid wahabi sufi ??? o_O how is that even possible ? lol

  • @liah14 wahabi is a follower of abdul wahab who follows ibn taymiyah...if someone follows ibn taymiyah they are a wahabi

  • Aisha (ra) the mother of all believers never used to lead the salaat!!

  • your the biggest joke ever!? Sheikh Hamza yusuf hahah, balla sheikh balla ballout?! idiot!

  • Please post the reference where IBN Tayammah mentioned it. Jazak Allah Khair...

  • no where ever at all did a woman lead men in salah at the time of prophet pbuh which has been recorded or the sahaba's or the tabi'een , so who's sunnah do you meant to follow , the prophet pbuh, he said my generation the nex and the nex is the best of generations so obviously this sufi deviant is lost ..

  • majority of highest scholors class this scholor as a deviant who has astrayed from the true path of islam , many other scholors aswell as the highest have also declared him to be a sufi but carrys abit of the aqqeeda but makes alot of misconeptions about the deen,

  • to the Ustadh who says 'women leading men in prayer' is allowed in Islam------pliz give me reference in the books of SHEIKHUL ISLAM & Imam TWABRI.................stop bringing innovation in religion

  • women leading from the back. wtf? Leading? from the back?

  • people need to realize what didnt happen for 1400 years won't happen. I mean people should realize there are matters faaaaar more important for muslims than thinking are women allowed to lead prayer or not b/c even if women are allowed to lead prayer our problems won't be solved. so plz brothers plz refrain from bad language and pointless attittude. And sisters plz realize leading prayers or doint anything which Islam doesnt require women doing doesnt mean guys are insecure OR women r defecient

  • The prophet(s.a.w) said every bid'ah(inovation) leads to straying away and straying away leads to hellfire....

  • this man is a wahabi in sufi clothing

  • @GreasyVid on what do you base this?

  • @erykvonkeith he is a follower of the deviant ibn taymiyah...wahabis follow abdul wahab who follows ibn taymiyah...its a deception he is acting like a sufi but infact he accepts the wahabi creed...

  • @GreasyVid no one follows abdul wahab accept that he followed the prophet pbuh the sunnah is the sunnah and no so called wahabi accepts a wpman can lead in salah and i very much doubt ibn taymiyyah meant women can lead men , and ibn taymiyyah is a great scholor so unless u a shia shut up coz u aint got a clue wa u on abt wen u chat abt wahabi, if i told u this is a made up conception by the west wat wud u knw, go study what it all is secondly wahab is one of allahs name be carefull with its use

  • @andyshutup abdul wahab and ibn taymiyah are the worst...i am sunni your just ignorant u think everyone that is not following ur devil religion of wahabism is a shia or sufi u r sadly mistaken...your saudi trash bin of a country will be destroyed and real muslims will take over and all your american/british agents will be annihilated like this hamza

  • @GreasyVid ignorance is bliss isn't it first of all WHO are you to even say Abdul wahab and ibn taymiyyah are the worst WHO are you to even make a statement like that please bro check your ego at the door

  • @allblack33 you are a wahabi puppet u wont last after america is out of the middle east but right now ur lucky big daddy america and the west will have your back

  • @GreasyVid may allah cure you from your jahil

  • @fahadshippuden you are the one that is ignorant wahabi scum sucking on americas ass and acting religious...very soon saudi arabian regime will fall and we will show u traitors

  • @GreasyVid i assume you are a khawarij. learn some manners and i doubt you are a practicing religious muslim. May Allah cure you from your jahil and fitnah. go and pray behind your female shaykhs since all the men in your community has lost their balls and manhood.

  • @fahadshippuden remember when the usa is not arouund we will hang you and your wahabi cadres...once the saudi regime fall it is over for your wahabis...ur wahabi madhab will be done and we will return to being muslims that are united and not disunited by some american ass kissers

  • The wife of the Holy Prophet was the most knoledgeable about Islam and many men came to her for religious guidance, yet she never led any prayers.

  • @polarstar3 Your 100% right! see i would ask this brother..he states that Ibn Taymmiah said a female can lead if she is more knowledgeable! First of all the Brother did NOT! i repeat again DID NOT! state the PROOF! of where he read this and how STRONG! his SOURCE is and 2nd the MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE WOMEN IN ISLAM! were the WIFE'S! of the Prophet(pbuh) who LIVED! with him and they NEVER! did such thing! Brother and Sisters! the THEME! of Is Believe only WHAT! has been PROVEN!

  • @polarstar3 Allahu'alim, that's because there were MANY men that were qualified to lead the women. Please mark what Sy.Hamza said in here, was what Ibn Taymiyya said, was when the men were illiterate, and there's a woman who's illiterate, then she should be the one who's leading the shalat.

  • @cicinomaden I meant there's a woman who's literate. Sorry.

  • @polarstar3 Your comment is sufficient for any debate regarding this topic. Jazzak Allah Khair

  • Women can indeed lead prayers. No harm in that. Men who dont like it are simply insecure!!

  • Whenever a person speaks the truth, logic and common sense, the bigots call him a heretic, lunatic and a liar. That is the case with most religionists right here in the this thread who are calling Hamza Yusuf as one. Hamza Yusuf is well read, well grounded and an honest human being who is doing a great service to people.

  • @szuberi nice little essay why dont you actully ask hamza yusuf whether women are allowed to lead me in pray ? also islam isnt based on your limited amount or my limited amount of knowledge a scholar must know all the pieces of information the thousands of hadiths that may be related to pray to make a judgement on whether it is allowed, your individual feeling or inclination means nothing

  • this guy is a clown, fake Muslim

  • Hamza Yusuf...You may not know him well but, this dude is trying to slowly innovate Islam making it more modern and suitable for people...The Quran is very clear and has rules for a muslim and one of them is that Women are not allowed to lead prayer while there is a mahram so you so called sheik your not premmitted to tweek the quran nobody is aloud and if you guys have just a little of brain you would know that many popular well educated sheiks go against him. This guy is pycho!!

  • @TheLibyanforever Please stop with your lies. There is no mention of any prohibition of a woman leading the prayers in the Quran. Plus the entire idea of Mahram is man made and is not found in the Quran.

  • All Islamic scholars disagreed with women leading prayers. We, Muslims, derive our ibada (e.g. salat) from Prophet Mohamed (saw). In his time (saw), he never appointed any qualified woman to lead salat. In the Khwlafa Al-Rashideen's time, they never appointed a woman either. Woman can, however, lead other women, or her family members in salat. To read more go to islamicity website, then to the Q&A section, then type "women leading prayer" in the key words.

  • @dragon0401 your simply correct bringing new ideas into a muslim's head and saying that women can lead prayer is nonsense we as muslims belive in the quran and sunnah and not some random guy from youtube land trying to tweek Islam. Islam is the leading religion because the Quran is original and not changed like the Bible and if this guy wants to change the Quran he's basically ruining Islam.

  • @dragon0401 The absence of something does not denote disapproval - Muhammad never used a microwave so does that mean the use of microwaves is haraam?

  • it is a daily use of your normal life , when you class something as a worship or join something in islam and it is not sunnah then it becomes a deviant innovation so wake up from this satanic ideolagy man people are clueless and come out with lame excuses ignorance prevails

  • @andyshutup what kind of crap are you talking about using a micro wave lol do you worship and do ibadah with a micro wave? do you class it as a religeous thing? do you class it as sunnah, no you dont ,

  • I just wanna know .. why is soooooooooooo hard for those males commenting on this video to accept a woman leading them in prayer .. whether ibn taymiiyya said or not ... I'm speaking logic here .. the leader in anything not just prayer should be the MOST QUALIFIED ... this is what LOGIC suggests ... so whether the leader being a man or a woman is not an issue .. what concerns me is she/he qualified ... are they devoted ... will they do it right ? .... it is not about you STUPID EGO ..

  • @ma171000 You are expecting the average religionist to talk with logic? LOL

  • Brthers this guy hamza is nothing but another freak of the Pentagon islam agents.. All his life speaks of it, his claim of studies in AMuritania, then in Morocco, his White house visits, Agents of US government, just like CIA agent in Algeria who posed as a muslim while he was committing rapes and murders in the name of Islamic algerian al Qaida , he pled guilty finally and the CIA still protects him,,,,,, wake up people these are the garbage of itelligence agencies to distort islam LIARS

  • LIAR hamza, bring proof from any book or article or debate by Ibn Taymiiya saying that women are permitted to lead prayers, I defy you to bring it and post for us the book,,, Agent of Evil you are, & I know you won't find it anywhere, we have ibn Taymiya books, and let us see where u read it.. let's have a page a volume or any such thing,,, agent of falsehood, islam requires proof, all you have is poison against Islam which only ignorant people can believe,,, I doubt you even went to a madrassa

  • LIAR.... Brothers siters this man has no knowledge, he is obviously an agent of falsehood posing as a muslim,,,,,,, Hamza, I know for sure not only u never read Ibn Taymiyah but you r doing all you can to distort Islam and its true Scholars, who never said such a thing.. Hamza enough lies, we know who you work for already,,,,, the United States of Satan Agent of destruction of all that is noble and good, pretending ur a muslim, ur a liar with an agenda against islam.

  • hamza yusuf is a misguided devient

  • LIAR LIAR LIAR Hamza you are a liar about Ibn Taymiya who never said such a thing, I defy you to bring us any passage where Ibn Taymiya said such a thing, you biggot agent of wrath, you want to make people believe that women can lead men in prayers from behind??? and you are atacking Ibn Taymiyah this way,

  • @bonespow and @falim2007

same here brothers, i grew up being a big fan of hamza yusuf. but over the last few years his talks have been getting stranger and modernisng islam. I avoid his talks now, very confusing and misguiding. He has also opened a school in america, Zaytuna instutition and they practice strange teachings there. Islam is a very simple religion.

  • slander against shaykh al islam ibn taymiyyah. if one were to look at the original arabic matn HE IS MENTIONING OPINION OF OTHER FUQAHA.

  • I always watch hamza, but somethings are just a little be weirder so i just got used to gettin by. I think he is just learning too and i think it wouldn be good to just blame him. On one video he said that he was reading a poem when he was single and the poem was to much and he found it difficult. you see that's why i don't judge him. had he known that that was not a slamic poem, he would've not mentioned it in front of many people. He did state though that it was one of the old poems.

  • For some of you who are asking about the beard. First I think it's a false assumption to think that a beard signifies someone's state of faith. The worst enemies of Islam had beards. Second, if you leave it (out of submission and not because you want me to think you are a good Muslim) you get rewarded, if you shave you don't get punished. Third, I am in the Sheikh's situation, his beard DOESN'T GROW. Grow up guys. People are inventing staff and we are arguing about hair on our faces. Come on

  • @hicham437 The beard is Waajib according to the 4 Madhhabs and the command in Principles of Fiqh is by default Waajib unless evidence proving otherwise appears. Therefore, if you shave your beard, you're punished.

  • @hicham437 he looks like a magician

  • No body goes deeper into tradition of islam. let me tell you something hamza yusuf Islam isnt a tradition. Traditions can be changed or renovated as you put it but Islam is Allahs religion with his laws so dont even go their.

  • this is not true ibn taymiyyah suggested a female can lead other females he should point this out more clearly for the case when all the men are illterate which in masjid I have never seen i myself am not an Imam and know surah fatiha and the obligatory actions of pray, that is the only case according to wat he is saying

  • @aaarrr1 bro ask yourself why he doesnt point things out.. There trying to change allahs religion and his laws. He doesnt even grow a beard man. If his gonna let that goaty grow then why not grow the whole thing.

  • @putronogo i cant make any sense with what you have written. But if your saying that i should dig for knowledge then yes i have done that and i have found the truth. I use to listen to hamza yusuf "constantly" i mean all the time. You know what they say everything is in the detail. Listen carefully to what he says his facial expressions where his trying to head the conversation. If he is a sheikh then why doesnt he grow a beard? Look deeper to who you get your knowledge from. Thats my lesson

  • @falim2007 If you're a man, grow some balls and ask him yourself why he doesn't grow a beard.

  • @dontlogin79 Excuse me?? Balls? You want to see some balls yeah? ill show you some balls just as soon as you give me his address so i can go visit him and tell him where his going wrong... why do you think im on here commenting on him not growing a beard, i dont live in america to go up to him and tell him what i think of him... So go find out how i can get hold of him and i would gladly send him my point of view... ok my little man

  • @falim2007 Let's start with Google. You must know how to get to Google's website, right? Or do you want me to show you how to do that as well? Once you figure out how to navigate to a search engine, search for his blog, and ask him a question. If you ask a sensible question, you'll get a sensible answer. If you ask a garbage question, you'll get no response. So research your question, i.e. ask your local ulema on the position of beards (he is Maliki), and write up your question properly. Regards

  • @falim2007

I hear you brother, When I reverted most of what I used to listen to was Hamza Yusuf but Alhamdulillah, I was made aware of his deviant ways. Those who defend him probably do so because they have an emotional attachment to him. I suggest they strive to have an emotional attachment to the Quran & Sunnah of the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasalam) I pray that Allah guides us and the sincere amongst them (Including those they follow).

    Ameen

  • I havent heard such crap in my life... and why is he laughing mid way? man these sufis dont have no boundaries im tellin u...

  • @falim2007 alotta hate for sufis i see? :P

  • @DonZadjali I hate the ones comming up with things that go against allah and his messenger SAW! and i hate these types of people for the sake of Allah.

  • According to Imam an-Nawawi, “If a woman leads a man or men in a congregational prayer, the prayer of the men is invalid. As for her prayer, and the prayer of the women praying with her, it is sound.”

  • What about the sister who was giving a lecture on hadith with no hijab?! The comments on that one have been disabled! I wonder why!!

  • From the hadith a women can lead her household in prayer and a group of women although she must stand in the middle if the first row and not in front like a man... Hamza Yusuf is misquoting the scholars and insinuating their referring to the women leading men outside of the home...

  • Some people in here just do not understand and comprehend enough to understand what he is clearly saying. Some of the comments sound so ignorant and tend to result in insult that it does not really get your point across. Please, educate yourselves and learn how to get your point across in a CIVIL manner without engaging in rude speech.

  • its sad u use all the knowledge u have against the straight and clear path of sunna

  • wallahi i hope allah guide you brother hamza

  • I see... a scholar who shaves..

  • @TruthinSalaf /watch?v=LdXFnY_-9-s

  • @ByChoiceMuslim Well that helped, i'd say. thanks for sharing that bit. however, not being stubborn but on a different note, hamza yusuf has clearly signs of deviance and innovations that he and his followers adhere to. sufism has some major deviances and zaytoona institute is so full of it =\ may Allah guide us all

  • @TruthinSalaf For example

  • @ByChoiceMuslim adherence to the teachings of sufi doctrines... their deep love for the "qasidah" burdah which has elements of shirk in it =\

  • @ByChoiceMuslim Basically he does not ascribe to the manhaj of salaf as-saaleh

  • I used to like him until i see this SAD....

  • Reading the comments make me sad. What is wrong with some people? Why do you speak when you have no knowledge? Do you think because you've read a book or two or heard some lectures makes you a 'alem or a shaykh? This man has dedicated his life to islam. He has more knowledge than you. He's a beautiful inspiration & he's actually doing something for our umma. Now what are you doing? Sitting behind a computer screen and calling him a liar? Seriously?! Do something good with your sad lives.

  • THIS MAN IS A MUNAFIQ SHOW ME A WOMEN WHO DID THAT DURING SAYIDUNA MUHAMAD 3ALAHI SALAT WA SALALAM

  • The quality of the language and the level of some commentators here shows how bad our situation as a nation are. Ignorant and stupid people who can't make an argument tend to insult and raise their voices. Doing so doesn't add value to your words. It's better for you if you go back to school and learn how to talk.

  • @hicham437 There is a very good article by the Sheikh titled: "The Importance of Being Ambiguous Or the Sin Tax of Ignoring Syntax". It's in his blog at Sandala. Check it out, you might get a glimpse of what he meant.

  • @hicham437 You have to understand the anger that these people are expressing. This hamza guy is trying to say that its ok for women to lead prayer. This is a very very very very bold bold statement. It never happened durring the time of the sahaba or the prophet SAW. No one can sit there and give comments of ulama on such subjects. The word of allah and his messenger SAW is above anyone in this religion.
