  • My message to the people of Kenya is : Please keep peace dont run into violance!

Greetings from Apostle Nazaret Video msg on my channel - 7nazareth

    God bless you

  • Khadhis courts should be removed from the draft constitution. i dont see why tax payers money should be used to propagate interests of one religion after all the draft constitution states very clearly that all religions are equall and that religion and state should be separated. Why the double standards??Just like other religions these courts should come into existance through an act of parliament

  • It's been a 20 yr endeavor; I doubt such a pathetic effort is worth notice. That said, it's a better document than the current; whichever way how. We proposed document has methodical structures of evolution and substance provided for in the supreme court and the constitutional court. The Senate is a major step forward (or rather back to 1963). the AG awaits! Another Kilifi draft debacle awaits or is post-visa-ban Amos Wako a changed man?

  • I wonder whether there is a clause in this draft that criminalises ethnicity and racism! I wish a clause that makes corruption a capital offence was entrenched in this constitution! I bet when these two issues are in the constitution, and it is followed to the letter, Kenya would be better. These issues are treated as petty crimes whereas they are the source of the many problems that we have in Kenya.

  • Will pay and taxes be included in the constitution? This guys we call our representatives are selling off Kenya and stealing from the taxpayers! Are land issues addressed? If they handle the formation of a new constitution the way they handle everything else, we are doomed!

  • So far so good but how long will it take before the politicians start disagreeing on various clauses in the draft, how long before tribal politics is injected into the debate. watch this space, we may still not have a new constitution come 2012.

But I agree with one thing, scarp the provincial administration, that a system meant for the bygone colonial era.

  • People here should actually take time to read the document before you comment. It's available on the local newspapers websites. Then make informed comments.

  • Looks good but what will happen when the two premiers can not work together? The president has the armed forces and the state and the Pm has half the cabinet and government business. The Pm is still a puppet/ceremonial to me.

  • I support all those proposals except the creation of two centers of power. What's wrong with an imperial presidency? What Kenya needs are working structures in govt. to avoid dependance on presidential goodwill to get things done. I admire how Raila discharges his duties semi-powerfully while avoiding friction with the president. But how sure are we a future PM will be as gracefull? I insist this powerful PM business is bad for the country. I support appointing ministers from outside parliament!

  • Oh...and being able to run for the presidency without having to run for parliament, priceless! This might just be what Kenyans need to create a revolution that excludes them career politicians. Kenyan rural politics is so archaic that potential good leaders, especially the youth, are denied the chance to see parliament just because they are not fluent in their mother-tounges. The requirment to be an MP first befor running for the presidency is one big hurdle I hope to see eliminated.

  • I really hope these incorrigble politicians will put their egos aside and let Kenyans get a constitution thru universal suffrage.
