In my opinion, John K. Samson is the greatest lyricsist since Bob Dylan. I've never been able to relate to a musician's lyrics & poems, as i have with John. If there's one thing that makes me proud of my Canadian identity, it's definitely not my forefathers or our Government, it's John K. Samson & the Weakerthans. I know what i said above may sound silly, but they are currently my main inspiration in something that i hold dear in my life: writing (i.e. Lyrics/Poems) and music.

@MrMenzies YES. I don't think anyone but fellow Weakerthans fans understand how good their music makes us feel. Or that grinning awkwardly at nothing when walking through town/riding the bus/whatever is an inevitable side effect that afflicts almost all of us.
