@TheOfficialSilvia the picture was taken in 1940' something? it was during WW2 it was taken on Victory of Japan day or formally known as V.J day. He is a sailor who was very happy to be back alive from the war and he said that the first girl he saw he would kiss. and he happened to see that nurse and he kissed her it was taken in NY. you should look it up im not entirely sure on the background. Type in V.J day kiss. hope this helps. lol
