trombone is English spelling of the instrument in question.

spelling of trombone varies from country to country,

proper spelling is "trombon" in Swedish. so it's not a misspelling.

other countries spell it tromboane tromboon trombono trombonas etc.

and yet other courntires call it basun posaune and variation there of.

Truly amazing the glass crafting skill that went into this creation and can't wait to hear the video of it being played without the mute. I didn't see a spit valve, isn't it necessary on this glass horn? Also, is there a tuning slide?

@DickWhittington1000 they might have just made for the sole purpose of being the first. it doesn't absolutely need a tuning slide or spit valve, tho they make it easier to play, they're not essential for playing.

Guessing it's nothing special otherwise you'd not use a mute. The wood trombone is something else, the sound was to die for. They should make trombones in wood after the demo I heard.

how would you do the mouthpeice and the tuning and normal slides for it? you would need some preety tough glass for that too. one thing that would be instresting about that is you could see all spit accumlating at the end of the slide and it would be vibrating to sound.

I play the trombone and i find it very dumb to play a trombone made out of glass when it's a brass instrument made out of BRASS. But i guess all in all it's pretty cool.

@LeifWilly well growling is a voice thing where you play and use your voice at the same time, flutter tounge is like giberish tounging, not relaly a double or tripple tounge just fluttering it, the sound is a little identicle

yea flutter tongue is basically rolling an "r" syllable with your tongue while playing. a growl can either good or bad. it's good if you mean to cause it by using your voice, and bad because your mouth isn't set correctly
