I heard of a way of freaking up can flippers, that is, while mining continuously jettison 1 unit of veldspar until you load up, leaving flippers to suck on veldspar. Is this true?
how many damps did you have total? I can only surmise that the ships were damped out of the fight, otherwise a drake would have torn you apart. That said, a little ewar goes a long way

its worth it if you are patient, and can afford $15 a month. but you can eventually pay the game w/ in-game money by buying things called PLEXes, they give like a 30 day or 60 day time.

It is if you like the Sci-Fi setting and are looking for a really complex mmo. This is unlike World Of Warcraft and crap like that. You have lots and lots of possibilities. It might be a little confusing at the beginning because there is so much to do but there's a very helpful community.

Yes and no. There are aspects outside just clickin a few buttons. Cap management, ship fittings and more importently transversal velocity, which does need you to move your ship yourself into better positions for more dps and chances to hit. It what makes a great pilot with a lesser ship defeat a newb with a better one.
While I think you'll get a lot of disagreement about PvP in various games, I think EVE Online has more variance in the PvP system than any other game. Against equal skilled opponents, there is so much give and take, so many surprises to be had, punch and counter punch... there's nothing like it. Every ship can come in hundreds of variations as far as layout. It's more fun than any of the other MMOs out there.
It's more fun to you than any other MMO. It's not more fun to everyone else. Ask the Star Sonata, Infinity, Vendetta, and Starport players which game is the best. I can assure you everyone of them will not say EvE Online.
Dunno about the other games but WoW PvP has quite much action.... in eve i believe there isnt much action during the PvP But whats most important is how you prepared for it .

PVP in EVE is intense. It not action packed but rather scary for Haulers who have no offensive capabilities. However, slipping past a gatecamp with a cargo bay full of suplies you need to drop in low-sec is quite intense for me.

Really it all depends on the ships. I'm going to assume you mean 20 haulers vs 1 PVP ship is unfair for the haulers, otherwise your 10vs4 comparison to 20vs1 makes no sense.
With that said...the point is inaction and indecission will get you killed. The Frig was the only thing that should have been in any kind of danger, and given that it was a Maulus it shouldn't have been in close enough to be in danger anyway. Even if only that drake had enganged he should have eatten the haulers alive.
well Haulers can tank as good as a cruiser (oh well, they can carry crap loads of cap boosters) and have a formidable amount of mid slots, which is Golden.
Haulers dont do good dmg, that's the only problem I think.
Yes. And EVEtubes bandwidth is a hell.... Takes all from 10-30 seconds just to get a video to start. Some doesn't work at all. I would say Youtube is a lot better.

It is if you like the Sci-Fi setting and are looking for a really complex mmo. This is unlike World Of Warcraft and crap like that. You have lots and lots of possibilities. It might be a little confusing at the beginning because there is so much to do but there's a very helpful community.
I recommend to try the 14 day trial.

High: Small Beam Laser, Tractor Beam
Mid: 10MN AB, Warp Disruptor, Sensor Damp, Sensor Booster
Low: Overdrive, Nano, Istab, Heat Sink
