Cuba had very little choice in the matter. After Fidel cut himself off from the west the Cuban economy was totally dependent on the USSR and a nation with European living standards became a Third World Country with Bad Credit.
I love how Cuba has managed to preserve all these wonderful historic vehicles while the rest of us, especially here in the states have got rid of and destroyed these great pieces of our past.
