POSSIBLE SHORTCUT: after starting, you see the waterfall on the right. that is part of the route. you then turn right and go into the tunnel and avoid about half of the course. i havent tried it before i think you need a mushroom, triple mushroom, golden mushroom, star, and cloud for it.

You missed one, which is faster than the third one you showed.

Its before the second one, instead of going off the ramp with the booster, turn early and shroom through the grass to get into the river.
