i actually went to a kind of heavy metal "disco" club, after a gig in Berlin i think. instead of dancing they were headbanging and playing air guitar. great fun!

This footage was in a newer documentary called "VH1's Heavy: The Story of Metal" it was shown over 4 nights and is about an hour long in length each. One episode is all about the NWOBHM and I believe has the Maiden footage you spoke of (not 100% on that but I'm almost sure).
