Pink Floyd The Wall Live at Earl's Court 1980 DVD, Pink Floyd Live in Oakland 1977 3-disc 2CD/DVD set available at Tommygun Video, please see our Youtube channel for video/audio clips, link to web site and more info
Let us try to see Pink Floyd as one body, one soul, a composer. Then, I think, the appreciation goes to the performance not to the performers. Nobody in the the concert hall on hearing, say, The 9th Symphony, looking for Beethoven himself... enjoy the music and the performance..
If I wanted to see Bryan Adams, I would have gone to a Bryan Adams show or looked up Bryan Adams on youtube. I thought I was searching Pink Floyd. I respect Bryan Adams for what he's done, but he should NOT be singing any Floyd song.
i think some of u are missing the point, its not just about floyd, its history it was something many of us dont get to see in our lifetimes, and as far as the people preforming on stage wether u like it or not its what he wanted,
this is the tomb Floid Pink Music, The demmostracion that are no longer anyone. A fossil, a dinosaur dead .... Just a couple of flashes ... and other products for mass consumption ...
How the fuck did Bryan Adams actually rock harder than Pink Floyd there? Honestly, the thought of Bryan Adams rocking at all is like one of those 'not even when pigs fly' situations.
This is incredible to me, not only is the arrangement quite audacious, but the part when you hear Adams and Waters sing together reminds me of how badly I miss Roger's edgy vocals from the stuff that came after he left. I should note that very few people appreciate Roger's talents as a musical director and arranger. Outstanding!
einfach nur schrecklich der sound. mit dave gilmour hätte die ganze sache viel viel besser geklungen! vor allem der gitarrist und sänger ist ja voll die wurst;(
I studied in Berlin in the summer of 90 and attended the concert. It was the largest crowd of people I have ever been a part of. By the time the show started, I had been standing and sitting in the same square foot for six hours. I was so tired, thirsty and I needed to go so I started walking away from the stage following little streams of people heading out. I walked for a half hour, slowly, away from the stage and the crowd was still as thick as thieves. Great show; better summer.
This whole thing was about the fall of the Berlin Wall. It was a celebration on a grand scale. I only wish the rest of Pink Floyd would have shown up to play this one.
Waters has always been great at getting the best musicians on board with him. This whole thing was brilliant. I remember listening live on the radio as it was happening.
Absolutely fantastic concert. I just ordered the DVD from amazon.
Ithis is not pink floyed ,but the truth is ,the singing is pink floyed ,but the music generic .like robert plant of zepplin .his voice is zepplin ,but with out jimmy on guitar it;s not zepplin .this is waters .and it is awsome .but yea ,it;s not pink floyed ,but a hell of a concert
I am sorry, but this is not Pink Floyd I like. It sounds good, but it doesn't have the right feeling. Australian Pink Floyd Show is much better. I really recommend it.
i think these guitarists are doing a pretty good job despite the heavy 80's-ish sound lol
i personally didnt like doyle bramhall at in the flesh even tho he's a great player...i think hes more flashy and "trying-to-hard" than these guys are
Not true. They are two different songs. "Empty Spaces" (0:00 to 2:38) is on the studio album. "What Shall We Do Now" (2:39 to 4:00) is not on the album, but is in the movie and live performances of the album. "What Shall We Do Now", however, listed in the liner notes for the studio album, but that is a known misprint.
I really disagree on that one, he sounded good he has thoughs rocker vocals which suites both the songs cuase they are really the only two rocks songs in the album the rest have a darker hard rock sound...
i disagree also ..thought it was a real good and powerful piece of singing relevent to where we are at in the whole gig,,mind u not one of B adams greatest fans,,,
That's 'cause Roger didn't do the singing for In The Flesh? for that movie, Bob Geldoff sang so he wouldn't look stupid trying to lipsync to Roger's voice
I dunno - they say the reasons are unclear - however alot of strange and weird things were done for the release of the dvd because during the live performance there was a shitload of technical problems.
