Once done with surgery do you place perio pack? If so any brand you prefer, also what are the instructions and follow up protocol

@ddsosman coe pack regular with tcn or doxy powder mixed in for 2 weeks. If some marginal exposure we repack. No chewing in the area. Soft foods, chew on the other side. If both sides: if you can't chew it with your tongue its too hard. Anaprox premed and q6-8 x 24 hrs. Vicodin 1/2 -1 prn in between. CHX swab bid. Post op checks at 1, 2 weeks then after that 2-3 months.

@chulmbae alloderm is typically about 1.5-2mm thick. When you hydrate it you do one wash and then another clean wash. This is done during the site prep so the issue of hydration time is moot. IF you add tcn powder to the second wash it seems to make the membrane thicker. I do this less and less now so I can control the thickness.
