PC version had better car renders, even if the graphics overall weren't as good as on PS2...

The PC version also had better crashes and more cop cars if I remember correctly...

@tudythegangster But the cars handle better on PS2. The Helicopter is also present more often, and you get a lot more roadblocks and spikestrips. The PC/xBox/Gamecube version was more fun to watch because the cars were lighter. However, the cars feel better on PS2. The scenery also looks better on PS2, and you have the option to turn songs from the game's playlist on and off on PS2, which is kinda nice.

Great game that still looks and plays nice today. I tried all three console versions back then (PS2, Xbox and Gamecube). The PS2 version was surprisingly the best closely followed by the Xbox version, with the Gamecube receiving a very poor port of the game.

EA screwed with the pc version by porting the lesser xbox and GC version. thats EA for you right there. this must have being done on purpose to promote ps2(secret agreements or something. EA got fingered by Sony? maybe). its just sad. at least the new hot pursuit is equal on all platforms, but don't thing i wouldn't prefer a superior PC version.

The last good Need for Speed. I've only played two NFS games after and was extremely disappointed.

NFS just didn't transition well into open world at all. Test Drive Unlimited is open world done right. My favorite racing game.
