  • Todays so called Christian music is like the new generations so lost! Men Religion and nothing else! We need true worship and hymns with real meaning, oh please dont lose faith.

  • I spent 20+ years in Christian radio broadcasting, and can say from personal experience that the old-times hymns get better and more valuable with each passing day. I'd estimate that 90% of so-called "Contemporary Christian" music isn't worth the amount of dynamite needed to blow it to shreds. A very few of such songs have even a slight Bible message.

    Maranatha !

  • @tigerlilly66 You are so right! :)

BTW do you live in the US?

  • @cSharpIndonesia =

Roger that (military parlance for YES). I live in the state of Colorado. Glad you enjoy the great old hymns too.

    Are you Indonesian?

  • AWESOME....

  • i love this TRUE WORSHIP MUSIC. the problem with today's music is that it tries to be like and appease the modern day garbage sound. what a sin.

  • One of my favorite hymns. What comfort the words of this song bring to the weary saint trudging through this present life!

  • Beautiful!

  • Thank you for uploading this most beautiful Hymn and such a wonderful version of such....

  • Thank you so much for your channel. I get so tired of modern "worship" Jesus Culture, etc.

  • @BipolarPics Thank you, I also became "tired" with that whole scene and as a result have rediscovered an astounding Christian musical legacy.

  • @BipolarPics It's true. Christian music today is an industry. I don't think William Cowper had money in mind when he wrote the words to this hymn, especially if you know about all the low points he had in his life. Yay for people who can actually sing out of a hymnal!

  • @mtsumusic Have you seen today's "Christian" music? It's almost more like attending some rock concert for entertainment, which has replaced true worship value. I still enjoy some coneporary praise / worship but just in small doses now and then.

  • @BipolarPics This music is so much deeper than "worship" music. So poignant and so meaningful. Also scripturally based.
