Herb, congratulations on signing with the Dallas Cowboys. I know that you are looking forward to August 8 when you all travel to Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL Hall of Fame Game. Best of luck in your pro football career.
this young man has serious promise but i hope he can pass block as well as he can run overall i think he should do well because he runs behind his pads he fights for extra yds and he runs with the enthusiasm of a young deuce so all he has to do is cultivate what he has and work his ass off in training camp he might be in the rookie of the year conversation......Geaux Saints!!!!
saints have got to keep this young man, whatever he did in college not to get drafted ,they can help him get over that,he looks like a young deuce, gggoooo saints
Donaldson did 28 reps on the bench press that would have put him at the top of the combine. He was also recruited by big time programs as a linebacker. Western gave him a chance to run the ball. He's tough and can at least stand out on special teams. He has a great mentality and is a smart player.
His highlights don't show how he'll handle the NFL. All the long runs show him evading slow defenders. I was hoping to see him run over a few people, and keep that forward progress. Look at Deuce highlights, and you'll see what I mean. Not saying he won't be good, just thinking if he was this successful in a respected conference like the SEC, I would be more convinced.
dude, he doesn't get to pick where he goes. Just because he went to school in Illinois, it doesn't mean he's going to Chicago.
I'd guess by the time everything rolls around, he'll be a 5th round pick. A team who needs a bruiser will take him, and I'd say if Reid acknowledges his need for a big guy, he'll take a shot at him
yeah i know he doesn't get to pick where he goes. I'm good friends with some people who work in the NFL and they project him to be a late 5th, 6th, or 7th round pick. I agree with you that the Eagles should get him because they need a bruiser, but many teams are looking for some complimentary backs this year so who knows where he could end up. Most likely he will be picked by the eagles, browns, chargers, bears, bengals, or cardinals, but he can go anywhere so we'll see.

I hope either he or PJ Hill can step up and help the Saints' running game. Preferrably Herb, because of PJ's tendency to get arrested for DUI.
