and im having trouble with the picking pattern

i noticed that you Hit E for base at E chord at times and A for base at A chord is this how its supposed to be if so do you still strum the D, G, B with all the Chords

hey guys, it looks like a lot of people are having trouble with the bar chord. Well, if your using the strum pattern, then all your using are the second, fourth, fifth and sixth strings to do the entire song. why not try only holding down the last three? those are the only absolutely necessary strings in the chord, so why not? Might help a bit :)

@kinagrannis u keep changing the high strings u play for E and F# so im confused sometimes you'd the same high notes as u did for the A and then sometimes u move ur fingers up a string

Hi Kina,

You actually made a mistake when you were teaching the strumming pattern, which probably is giving 200,000 people a headache learning this song.

Other than that, my initial thoughts about Valentine was that it was a plain song.

if you can't play F# minor and not ever the easy way,

try playing this song with a capo on the 2nd fret

and use the cords

G, D, E minor, and C

those cards are easier!
