The rest of the girl's will probably just grow up with masochistic parhpilias, and frequently attend fetish conventions, as we have seen time and time again.
This kind of thing happens all the time, if the kid isn't getting killed from the physical abuse of corporal punishment, then the sexual aspect of it will get to have it's viral rampage on their mind, as well as many other complexes dealing with authority, domination and helplessness.
There are reasons to not use words that are intentionally offensive, but I think more importantly, we should be accountable for our words. I don't ever use the "n-word" because I know the history of that word. I have no desire to say it. At the same time, It's not my place to keep others from using it, but I'd expect them to accept the consequences that come with using a word like that.
Haha, as I was reading your comment, I noticed at about the same point that we were agreeing.
I don't think it's lame. Language is one of our strongest tools, and it can be used for good or evil, so with it comes responsibility. I'm willing to accept the consequences of using emotionally reactive language. I was when I made this video.
It's okay. ;) I understand the objection to emotional responses from people who are supposed to be rational. Then again, we're humans so it's to be expected that we're going to sometimes respond emotionally to issues that hit close to home.
As for the emotional responses, it's an emotional issue, and what I believe to be a crime against humanity. It's normal to want to defend the defenseless, but since there's no one to defend anymore, the most one can do is express outrage. It was my first response as well, even though I don't even support the death penalty.
Religion's fatal flaw, imo, is that it doesn't encourage critical thinking at all. It's full of black and white answers in a world of gray matter. There's nothing wrong with the idea that "killing is wrong" or "you shouldn't steal". It's "why" that's the problem here. Interestingly enough, it's the same reason why I object to hitting kids. Spanking just teaches kids that they shouldn't do something because they'll get in trouble. Where's the human element?
I don't base my belief systems on the law, though I'm sure some people do. If I had to define my source of "morality" I'd say it's something similar to the golden rule. I suppose it could become dogmatic if every atheist adopted that belief system, but I think I could live with that. We're all dogmatic about something or other, might as well be about something that makes sense. Do you disagree?
No offense, but this comment leaves me feeling a little patronized. I like and respect you, but I don't like it when people start to type a comment then stop and type "nevermind". If you changed your thoughts on this forum you could have just deleted it. No, you wanted me to know that you disapprove of what I said, but you don't want to waste your time typing something out. Now, what did you want to say to me? I think I deserve that much.
I'm not exactly sure what you think I mean when I say "morality". Do you think I mean a list of things to do and not to do? Of course that doesn't work. There is too much gray area and it doesn't encourage critical thinking. When I talk about morality I mean that you should consider how your decisions affect others and weight the decisions against the consequences. Choose the one that's likely to cause the least damage.
I volunteer to "discipline" those two. I will discipline them in the eyes of their god. I will discipline them until they MEET their god in the realm of nonexistence. /cracks knuckles
There are two things on this planet which make me want to kill the offending people instantly. Animal abuse, and child abuse.
Personally, I think people who do that to their children should be cremated alive. Prison time is way too good for scum like that. Come to think of it, i can't call such people scum as that would be an insult to scum. While I'm not certain of what word in the English language describes them, I am certain that such people are a waste of this planets precious oxygen. Good video.
I hope I'm not a terrible person for rofling at your comment. XD I think my theory that puppies make everything minutely better and easier to handle actually has some merit.
Thanks for favoriting. Let reason prevail, for the sake of us all.
It's the software that came with my computer (Dell Webcam Software).
Exactly, that way anybody can hide under it's ambiguous umbrella of "philosophy" and just claim that the other people got it wrong. The most extreme of them can say "god is cruel, we must obey his laws or he will punish us all" and the less extreme can say "that was the old testament, Jesus absolved us from those laws".
Hey Dg, I was so angry when I read this. I'm still really really angry. Surprisingly, there aren't very many videos or articles about this. I hope people decide to make videos about this, it needs to be out in the open.
The dog is an avatar that came as part of my webcam software (Dell Webcam Central). I don't know if you can buy it as a plug-in for other cameras or not.
Oh, yeah - expect some from me. I just filed a report with the BBB, because I'm sleepy and couldn't think of anything better. In the morning, I'm going to start scheming in earnest.
Thank you for making this. I'd hug you if I could, just because I need one after that and I figure you probably do, too.
They actually have a youtube channel NGJMinistries.
I sent them a message asking them to comment. I doubt they'll ever get to it, since this whole thing went down they're probably getting a lot of hate mail. Which they fully deserve.
I say we send them to venus, then we can watch them laugh like idiots while their flesh melts off their bones.

Such a horrible and tragic story told by a cute little dog. (What kind of software are you using?)
Alas, the Bible gives contradictory advice, on one hand, "spare the rod and spoil the child," then on the next, "be patient and kind."
