  • Hi robin! Thank u so much for this tutorial i've been trying to learn nail art for the past 6 months and i've been very unsuccesfull at it :-( but this tutorial just explained so many things for me. Again thank u! Btw i love ur nail art it's beautiful!

  • Very, very helpful, thank you

  • HI..iam new to nail arts and iam practising now..can i know...can we use acrylic paints as nailpolish and apply on nail..or it will be used only to do nail designs..does our nail chop with this paint..will it remove with acetone

  • @robinmosesnailart what is the most common brand u use of acrylic paint and where do u usually get all of ur brushes?

  • my nail polish is getting thicker soon..what should i do to get it thinner plz help

  • i'm totally fascinated by your style and your technique. watching you paint the leaves, vines and flowers, i truly expected you to say "happy little clouds" at some point. you make it look just as easy and effortless as bob ross did back in my childhood

  • thank you for showing this...went and picked up some little bottles of the americana acrylic - on sale even! BUT i realized later that the orange and yellow i bought say ' gloss enamels' and the purple, silver and gold say 'metallic finish'..the purple, silver and gold say on the back acrylic - so i think i can use those..but i can't find anywhere on the 'gloss enamels' acrylic, even tho they were in the acrylic section...are those ok to use or do i need to exchange them? love your work! hugs!

  • @mickyunit if you bought them right near the crafting paints, you can use them. i sometimes mess up and get gloss...they are water based they just dry shiney so its harder to determine when to topcoat...where the regular acrylic dries matte and you know you can topcoat without streaking...so, other than that, they are the same...the gloss even flows a little better....if you dont like one after you try it, just ask the store to exchange them out for matte, they usually do without problems. :) xo

  • @robinmosesnailart Thanks so much!! i cut one of my brushes just like ur vid and started playing around on my existing polish..i just couldn't wait! i'm thrilled and surprised at how good it looks! i made a xmas tree on my thumb and a single shamrock on another finger and messed around w/ a silver fleur de lis! i think i'm gonna need some reading glasses tho! haha! getting old! i'll see if i can post on your fb fanpage. hugs!!! finally i have a hobby!!!

  • Wow incredible (hand claps lol) bravo once again and thanx for taking the time to share!!

  • This video was so helpful thank you

  • Hey i was just wondering.. where can you get those nail stripers??

I reeaaly love the way u do ur leaves and flowers(:

Im just not so sure where to get the nail striper? :P

  • @Mandyy2kaii11 its super hard to get one. go to beauty supplies...i say opi makes a good one 80% of the time but every once in awhile i buy one and it SUCKS so......good luck....test them like i do! my love to you!

  • hi robin, just wondering if the acrylic paints ur using, are they the same as those used for art painting or they're special acrylic paints catered for nails only? thx

  • @Jolilies hello! these are just regular craft paint...nothing special for nails.. :)

  • I really like your designs. You are amazing.

But i have a question, the paint that you show is nail polish?

Thank's for taking your time with us.

  • @NewGossipCulture hi! go to my favorites section and watch the videos there..it shows you everything you need, it is acrylic paint. :)

  • I'm very, very lucky to discovered you! I love all your videos ........just letme ask you;were can I buy a good brushes and what brand and numbers? Than you....1000!

  • @kurtis3971 hello! i judge good brushes by how they bend. in the favorites section it shows you how to cut them to fit YOU...what works for me does not work for others..i have found this to be true, so i cannot give a name....however....if you watch the tutorials in favorites..it shows you exactly what length, type, how to care for...etc......it should be tons to get you on your way....if i had to pick a size 00 or 0 but each company is different. :) hope this helps you and thank you very much!

  • when painting on nail.

how long does the paint last?

  • @babavstardelight when topcoated, it lasts until you take the polish off.

  • so... educational!!!.. :D btw did you study in a "nail art school"? or did you learn it yourself??.. coz you look really "PROFESSIONAL". :D!

  • @pinkthingz18 you are so welcome. i have taught nail art for many many years, just never on film and so i finally decided to do it!!!! film always scared me, but now i kind of love it...so many more to come!!!!! i learned by practicing and im always trying and making new techniques to simplify ways to do art "small" ....i have an art background and paint on canvas :) and i have been teaching and painting nail art professionally for 15 years :)

  • @lacednotes thinner paint always give you better lines..if you are getting fat chunk lines...keep thinning down and keep rewinding!!!! xoxoxoxoox thank you for watching and practice will be the key to your success!!!!

  • Just wanted to say thanks for everything your doing!

I'm so glad I've discovered you on youtube! You are definitely not like any other nail guru, you are so wonderful, and I see the passion you have for nails! I have learn so much from your videos, not only how to do a simple design but learning all these facts, what to use, what not to use, how to mix colors, but most importantly, just being creative. Thank you again for taking your time posting up these videos! <3

  • @143Lovee thank you so much 143love. i am so glad that people like you are watching. i really want to teach as much as i can so other girls can learn who really love nail art but are struggling. it is hard work and a huge endeavor to try and get everything out there when there is so much to learn, but comments like these make it worth the whole thing! much love and thanks to you :) this comment means a lot to me. :)

  • What polish do you use! Mine dries too fast to do all that at once!

  • @fanikolova each person has their own favorites. for me, the faster the better :) (to me) opi dries slowly and you have more time to work with it on the nail :) but that is just my opinion....i am not promoting opi...i just find it dries slower. :) i hope this helps!

  • @robinmosesnailart Yes, thank you :)

  • thanks for the tips!

  • @camysh you are so welcome! xoxoxoxo

  • Thank you SO much for this video and all your other videos! I am going to go out and get a new Stripper...oh I mean Striper brush. I bought the ones from Ebay, they are green, red and blue with white and I find them very stiff and they always slide to the side when I try to stripe. I love how easy it was for you to do your zebra print loved it. Thanks again

  • @madeth33 perfect. you said it perfectly..............the stiff ones that slide side to side are indeed not striper brushes, they are strippers!!! hahahahaha :):) you are so welcome and i very happy to help!

  • I think it's wonderful of you to share your knowledge. I appreciate everything you share with us. You genuinely seem to love helping others all the while totally enjoying your work. I will definitely practice and keep coming back to these videos for information. Thank you so much! Janice

  • if anyone is having problems with this vid cutting out, tell me..the time on this video is 10:17 minutes long..... :) thank you so much..keep me posted!

  • The video stops after you say silver.... which i really wanted to see how you use the brushes and the brush strokes... can you do another one??? i dont know why it wont work for me.... I have to say i love everything you do.. also i crack up when i hear your dryer on in the back ground... luv you/./ awesome.... awesome stuff.

  • @millsjanine it is working fine for me? hopefully it will work for you if you reboot!

  • you make it so easy..i just have to practice more..ty so much for sharing your knowledge with us

  • Hey Robin, I know this may seem like a basic question but I will ask anyway. Do you dip your brush in water prior to dipping in paint? Also do you dip you brushes in water in between reloading of the paint (if that make sense)? Last question after you are done painting how do you wash your brushes?

    Angel

  • @Ev1izadiva nope..that is a great question...i only put my brush in water to 1. thin the paint, or 2.clean my brush and dip into a new color.......the key is to keep the paint you are using thin.....so, putting the brush in water in between messes with the integrity of the paint......so, no, i dont dip between or reloading..the brush is essentially dry and the paint is thin (as in video) after i am finished........i rinse with water....if i am using polish...i use acetone.

  • this was so helpful. Thanks so much :)

  • @TheSouthernbabygirl perfect. i am so so glad it helps....thank YOU for watching and supporting me and my art....it makes me happy to know you are learning and making cool stuff :)

  • which paints do u use?

  • @javaria all brands

  • Thanks for all the info you are providing ^_^ it is truly appreciated! i've used Acrylic on my nails, but eventually i want to paint on canvas and all this info will come in handy for that as well ^_^

  • @Queenterrier you are so very welcome and you just made me happier knowing that you will try and paint canvasses :) thank you :)
