We all have personal preferences as to which airline we like. SWA serves the whole US, but must have lower quality (NOT BAD) to keep their fares low. JBU on the other hand does alot of East coast work, yet has better service. But heck, we can all become successful in the airline world, and hell maybe some of us will be co-workers. Put the differences behind. Does it matter how many flight hours we have? Be humble. Some of us aren't as fortunate as others. Money? Flying's expensive.

I was the pilot the commercial. Initially received more responses than any ad they'd ever run, from people who loved it and people who thought it portrayed marriage in a bad light (can you say crybabies, like people live their lives based on tv commercials...if they too, they have bigger problems than an ad anyway) Almost a Stud, another one I was in, never aired cuz two America West pilots were caught having 10 rum and cokes about to fly a plane...due to sensitivity issues, JB didn't air it

Top UA captains make over 50 dollars an hour more. Their per diem is higher, and so is their retirement contribution. Im a commercial pilot what are you?

its depends on the aircraft, since UAL and JBU both fly the A320, look at the A320 pilot pay rate for the aircraft, and tell me the pay for united, and then the pay for jetblue. Theres a HUGE difference.

Look at the retirement. The A/B/C plan will make a much bigger difference than the hourly rate. Further UA just got a 5% raise which isnt reflected at APC. So that puts the hourly difference at about 4 bucks p/flight hour. The UA guys still make more. Before 2003, they made about 40% more than that too!

Last year I flew from New York to Portland in overcast conditions in a jetBlue E190 and we had perfect reception below and above the clouds... The only time we experianced trouble was on a different flight at cruise in perfectly clear conditions we lost reception for like 5 minutes.....

next time you fly jetblue you can just ask the pilots to say hi, the TV monitors are right there. Infact we post signs on the flght deck door to tell you we're watching you. This is for security. so that the captain can witness any illegal or security issues and we can call law enforcement from the sky, and have them meet the plane.
