As FurioNfromHell said, keep improving, especially vibrato. But believe me, once you got that feeling, you'll never loose it. The only condition is to listen to good music! :P
Wondering how you actually play Kindred right now (2yrs later and more), 'cause this execution is already really nice and you played the rhythmic part with the same tone of the original guitar track !!
Agreed about bendings and vibratos, BTW I am pretty sure you are a lot more skilled today.
very nice, very nice indeed, but you missed a part somewhere between 5:00 and 6:00 of the actual song right? or is ths another version, cause mine is 6:29 long
no you're right. i left it out, because it was too hard for me that time and i didn't want to destroy the whole song by putting in a part which sounds very bad. :)
I totally understand, good thinking mate, I just wanted to make sure, just an advise, in those hard solos, its also a good idea to compose a similar solo that is not so hard, if you have the time, but great job
The rhythm sounds good enough for a cover, but the solo is in dire need of phrasing. Listen to the album carefully and slowly disect it. JP uses a lot of nuance and phrasing expertise to get the right sound.
@stingray: take the solo beginning at about 2:15; you're hitting almost all the right notes, but listen carefully to the song to pick up petrucci's subtle emphases and nuances. Playing along to the song and not GP may help also ;P
I totally agree with you.. If you slow down the tune you can actually hear all the little details.. pickup changes.. slow vibratos.. perfect bendings.. I have 7 years playing this song and everytime I discover a new thing to work on!
Sounds pretty good, gj dude ;)

While a nice try, some of the spots around 3:20 made me physically squirm. Work on your bends, dude!

Something like "That sucker dosen't play the solos".
You didn't play hard solos and need to improve the vibrato.
But, I think it's a nice try... keep practice!

Furion What do you mean about Hard solo? it's look like Hyper fast and agrresive shredding????
it's two different categories ;) and this guy play slowly but swearly and he have an awesom playing ;)
Don't forget it's a cover :D

Yeah, I mean hyper fast and shredding =)
This song has a really hard shredding and stringskipping, but he doesn't play them.
IMHO, this guy needs to practice more to get better bendings and vibratos... just my opinion ;)

watch the bends and the vibrato...you are benidng out of tune and the vibrato is too wreckless. don't follow Kirk Hammett's lead on vibrato

he said something like: "The solo was horrid , use your ear"
can you tell me where it's bad? maybe i could improve it if you told me what exactly.
xstingrayx 5 years ago

Nice, but there's a missing part in 4:57, yikes I love that part haha. And be careful with those cuts... xDDD Well done nonetheless. Keep working!

I know, there is a relative big part missing, but this is the part i can't play enough clearly so I decided to leave it out. ^^
