Well, i think your quit right, but most of the songs that motorhead plays could also be considered rock and hard rock. Some of them are definetely metal, but some of them are not. And also i like Saxon, so obviously i would put them ahead. But, alot of their songs are very good. The old stuff and the new stuff. And they can be considered as one of the best live bands of metal.

@osborne1971 Imagine what is was like for Rob back in those days. Homosexuality wasn't quite accepted into the mainstream back then, which was why he'd kept private for so long. What still amazes me is that he'd managed to keep it quiet that long. There's no way you can keep stuff like that under wraps nowadays because 24-hour news channels and dozens of celebrlty news shows are always looking for new stuff to dig up. Personally, I don't care about it because it doesn't affect MY life at all.
@uofm97 I saw The Point of Entry tour !981 & believe me Halford wasn`t trying to hide it at all, but we were there to see a great band & thats what we saw. They opened with Solar Angels which shook the foundations of San Diego State Open Air Theater

) & I saw them there and stood in almost the exact same seat for the British Steel 30 yr tour 29 yrs later & they didn`t miss a beat !

Now Dio died of Cancer, Matt Barlow is already Leaving Iced Earth again, and now Rob is leaving Priest again soon. Only one left that isn't leaving their band is Dickinson I love a bunch of other metal bands too, but it just sucks.

Well, i think your quit right, but most of the songs that motorhead plays could also be considered rock and hard rock. Some of them are definetely metal, but some of them are not. And also i like Saxon, so obviously i would put them ahead. But, alot of their songs are very good. The old stuff and the new stuff. And they can be considered as one of the best live bands of metal.

i like this. the roughness of his voice adds a lot more of a tough and gritty sound to the songs. with all due respect if i wanted 100% clean perfect vocals 100% of the time i would wach amarican idol or lisen to opera where everyone sounds the same. I.E. like the same unemontional, weak, robotic, bullshit, we,ve been feed for years......in short i like his voice.... it sounds.... mean... angery... strong... loud... pritty much everything pop music is not. and never well be. long live METAL!!!

The pro that Rob is...he finds a note that fits the melody and song and IS NOT out of key. It could a 3rd below the actual high note. Try singing like him for more than just a few back to back shows, performing in different climates (i.e. humid vs dry) - your body is your instrument, and OH BY THE WAY, let alone 30 years and see if your voice can hold up. One of the best metal singers EVER

Anyway, I will post the same response as I did before...Can anyone sing consistently like Rob has for OVER 35 years!!! Distinct voice that is truly metal with an awesome range..enough said.

@osborne1971 Imagine what is was like for Rob back in those days. Homosexuality wasn't quite accepted into the mainstream back then, which was why he'd kept private for so long. What still amazes me is that he'd managed to keep it quiet that long. There's no way you can keep stuff like that under wraps nowadays because 24-hour news channels and dozens of celebrlty news shows are always looking for new stuff to dig up. Personally, I don't care about it because it doesn't affect MY life at all.

@uofm97 I saw The Point of Entry tour !981 & believe me Halford wasn`t trying to hide it at all, but we were there to see a great band & thats what we saw. They opened with Solar Angels which shook the foundations of San Diego State Open Air Theater
(7th row center
) & I saw them there and stood in almost the exact same seat for the British Steel 30 yr tour 29 yrs later & they didn`t miss a beat !

Even since he's come out, he hasn't gone around and taunted people with it, like Elton John did when England legalized gay marriage, getting married and making sure pics were taken and all that stuff. @CROMOEDGE It really sucks four of my favorite bands Iced Earth, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden lost one of their greaters singers then they came back. Now Dio died of Cancer, Matt Barlow is already Leaving Iced Earth again, and now Rob is leaving Priest again soon. Only one left that isn't leaving their band is Dickinson I love a bunch of other metal bands too, but it just sucks.
