  • @suprawes Thanks, I figured it out, now I just need to start posting some videos

  • Whenever I see folk from the 60's, like the Buffy Saint Marie, they're alway beat to hell and back. I'd love to find Buffy, Baez, Ian & Sylvia, and others in condition worth owning and playing. I've found a few items at Good Will but have never made a really good score.

  • Tried to join the group, not sure if I did something wrong or not

  • @onebigholiday42 Hold your mouse over "community" at the top of on the discogs site and select "my groups" and if it worked you will see YTVC there.

  • I have had a discogs acount for years, but don't really use it! Will start using it from now. Added you as a friend and joined the YTVC group! Great idea...

  • Joined the group. Thanks for doing that man! I'm gonna have to update my Wantlist..LOL!

  • Good luck with the idea Wes. I honestly would likely not use the board much though.

  • @dereckvon Yeah the board part probably wouldn't get much use. However it's useful to have everybody's name in one place rather than trying to find everybody on discogs and then adding them as a friend to see their lists. This way you just join this one group and you can see everybody's want list.

  • I will check out Discogs. I love those Stereo Action demo records. It seems that whenever you find those albums they look like no one ever listened to them before. I see classical that are mint looking like that too and they are 40 years old. My favorite out of all of them is the Buffy Saint Marie. You got a classic record there Wes. Very cool upload buddy~

  • @Paneeks1960 Yeah, is see the stereo action records a lot too but they are usually yellowed and look their age even if they are in good condition. This one is really bright white and new looking somehow. I know I have seen that Buffy Saint Marie album mentioned before, that's why I grabbed it, plus I am going to probably grab anything on Vangaurd at .49 cents each anyway. Thanks for watching!

  • this is an excellent idea! I think I did this right- I assume you have to confirm the friend request before we join the group? I'm sg1223 .

  • @babylonseeker Nope, just find your friends list by rolling your mouse over"My Discogs" at the top right of the screen then move down and click on friends. My username should be in your friends list, click on my name, and then at the bottom of the page that comes up it should say "SupraWes's Groups" and just below that "YTVC" Click on that and join the group.

  • @SupraWes got it!

  • I'm trying to get down with Discogs, but I am finding it kinda frustrating to use. It's a cool idea, but their format sucks wind. I'll keep giving it a try. I can't find YTVC to save my life. I love that Bessie Smith. Lots of good stuff. 50 cents each? unreal...

  • @TheZeekgeek1 Yeah, I started to use it for my collection and after adding a few albums I got a shitstorm of nasty messages about how I had done it all wrong. I dont add my collection in there any more I just use it for an online list of what I'm looking for. I have an app on my phone that lets me see that list anywhere I am.

It looks like you found YTVC because you are listed as a member.

  • I have that Leon Redbone album too. Nice Louis Armstrong record too, i'm sure theres a lot of good stuff on there, thats my favorite era of Satchmo's stuff.
