I've heard that the Iraqi Mirage F1s, and their French-trained pilots, were the most formidable adversaries the IRIAF F-14As ever faced. I wish I understood Farsi, military aviation is a particular interest of mine, and the Iran-Iraq War hasn't been the subject of many documentaries here in the West.

@jp6869 in brief the film says that the entrance of mirage caught IRIAF by surprise , the pilot explains that after a bit of cat and mouse where both planes circled round once they get in to a 20 mile range he called his base and told them he was returning while he dived inverted and did a split S formation and the mirage having followed him east was locked on when the Tomcat faced west again ,direct hit on mirage and from its debries second one also caught fire .
