its normal for them to bite everything. Get an empty coke can, put some unpopped popcorn in it and tape the top. when he/she bites your toes, throw gently the can on the floor close to them. They will stop.

@alecsvro yes it is normal for all puppies to chew (not bite) one's toes or anything else. They are teething and also they are discovering the world around them. Don't worry they will grow out of it. Although we did have one Golden Retriever who continued to chew our shoes (on our feet) until she was about 18 months old :-)

@alecsvro also don't forget that chewing (or using their mouths) is an important part of canine behaviour. Just look at any two dogs playing together and you'll see what I mean.

@joshuaperryhayes Oh my gosh I am so sorry. I know it was a year ago. But when you lose someone you love a year means nothing. Abtually your shock might just now be wearing off. I cry at times now just thing what I would do if I lost Bubba my black lab. I just hope you can find it in your heart to help another sweet dog that needs you, and have a place for your love to feel safe again.

Most breeds of dog are going to be able to outrun you; they're just better designed for running than we are. It's possible your dog is a pure lab, couldn't really say without seeing a picture of him. Or he could be part border collie or something. Thin is just too general of a description.

Depends what you need help training with. Sit/lay down/stay/etc are generally not too difficult with the help of food rewards, and obedience training can help with that, as well as socialize the dog and get her used to other people and dogs. If it's more because she's being a little terror, running around and chewing things up, that's pretty typical of puppies. Keep things you don't want chewed out of her reach, and when you catch her chewing something wrong, replace it with something right.

he was amazing as a little puppy but more than one of them around here would run me ragged... he is mix with black lab and springer spaniel... wonderful dog... did you go to the next site at the end and see him 8 months later? you will be shocked! good luck finding your puppy.

The baby puppy that we have she is 9 months old right now and we found on the side of 1-5 in jefferson,OR she was abandoned on an island in a blackberry bush when we found her she was 3 month old. She is now a menace of the house and makes a rucus. My father wakes up in the morning with a big pile of fur in his face from the pup. Thats how he wakes up at 5:00 in the morning to take the dogs out and get ready for work. She is now a safe loving puppy. And this is true.

i have a black lab 2...they grow out of chewing but sometimes its a struggle....trust me on that! my dogs name is Lenny hes just as hiper...i like the name jack...and you wanna know something funny we got our puppy the same day as you! only we got him somewhere down in palermo or somewheres.

Cute name! We haven't had a puppy because we got him at the pound when he was 2 years old, sorry! But I can say you can get him few chew according to his chewing habits and anytime he starts chewing on something you can give it to him! Or, if you find out he chewed on something you can try punish him, just like a toddler! You can give him a "time out" or you can take something away that he really enjoys! Hope this helps!

its hard i have a lab too

and she is always finding things to chew

but she is about 1 and 3 months now and starting to grow out of it

i think its just coz labs grow fast but have the puppy personality in them for a long time

i think all you can do is keep important things off the ground and wait
