  • 1:47 - M41A Pulse Rifle from Aliens. How did they get away with that?

  • thnx for this!

  • Nice balanced review, great to hear some SystemShock 2 music at the end ;-)

  • Hey cool, the resistance has a partnership with the United States Colonial Marines (from the movie "Aliens") 'cause the soldier in the game uses the M41A Pulse Rifle which is the standard assault rifle of the Marines in the movie "Aliens" (3:57 by example)

  • Oh... sorry moon.

  • 90s computer games were cool. The last time I was actually any good at them!

  • Fantastic review man, instant sub. I just randomly remembered this game and had to look it up again thanks for featuring it.

  • C'mon make a new Terminator game!! Salvation was a poor try but has so much potential..

  • Oh...

    Sorry moon.

  • Good humor! Thumbs way up!

  • 5:58 SVENGOOLIE!

  • it is battlefield game in dos days

  • lol at John Connor's "breast glances". At 4:45, could he not be any more obvious? hehe.

  • ah, back when video games were fun and people played them for the experience and fun, not to mindlessly unlock predetermined "achievements" . oh well, i load up these classics continually, they are my time machine.

  • How can you get this game to work? It won't start for me...

  • heh, when he gets hurt it reminded me of army men >_>

but yeah, this game looks cool. as does future shock, and even the old 1990's dos game they made about terminator too

  • @Amaranthus616

lol old 1990s. it really was not that long ago, especially in videogame history.

  • @BeyondNecroDome well yeah, i know that. i only said old because well...it was over 20 years ago now. nothing technically in a persons lifetime is old....

  • @Amaranthus616

lol sorry, i kind of still live like its 96. it was the best era.

  • @BeyondNecroDome yeah, games just arent what they used to be at all. some of them are good...but not as many

  • being able to drive a vehicle blew my mind. it was unheard of to be able to drive around and get out and walk around.

  • @glennjridge yeah, but they did it in their older game of terminator, the dos game from 1990...that was pretty sweet, stealing cars in past la, that was an fps too

  • Dude your comments to the movie make me laugh. I really miss that graphic.....not :-D However it was the best terminator game those days. Wish they follow Idea for pc or something but probably never gonna happen. I really had a graphic shock on 3:04 hehe. Other wise good

  • LOL @ Dick Cheney

  • I am so glad that cg look so much better today.

  • i remember you can jump onto the top of the the missle while its moving up and it takes you to the roof :-)

  • @allied67 I kept trying but could never do it. I think it would just go through me.

  • What the... Look at 3 minutes 50 seconds. That weapon is an M41A Pulse Rifle from Aliens! What the hell is it doing in a Terminator game?

  • Cool review man!

  • In Daggerfall, if you edit a Z.cfg file called betaplyr and change the filename to viewplyr, you will get SkyNet style WASD and mouselook movement!

  • Hey I really enjoyed your review of Skynet.

I'm a die-hard terminator fan and also a fan of the Skynet and Future Shock game.

I've always wanted to do a play through or LP of this game, just to add my own twist to it, because believe it or not, this game had quite an effect on me.

I remember getting nightmares from some of the enemies when I first played it.

Regardless, it's probably the only good terminator game out there. I have set up on dosbox, now i just need a recorder.

    Suggesstions?

  • @Waxer3929 It depends what resolution you play at. If it's 320x240 then the dosbox recorder(Ctrl+Alt+F5) works fine. If it's the higher 640x480 resolution then it's much trickier. The dosbox recorder couldn't handle that resolution for me, so I used fraps but even with fraps it slowed down after a while and I had to restart the game a lot to fix it.

  • @pcgheroes That's interesting, I mean, I got a new monitor awhile back and now 640x480 doesn't work unless I set my monitor to that particular setting.

Regardless, someone said something about a codec. I think when I got Dosbox I did not download the one with the codec.

    Thanks.

  • trying not to laugh. lol pretty much that what hes saying

  • pretty cool. a friend showed me this game some years back but I didn't realize it had mouselook (and as a result I didn't really give it a chance). turns out I was wrong, and this looks great (once you get past the ancient graphics)

  • Wtf? you can shoot the moon, seriously?

  • Yup You can do it in Future Shock as well Damn i love those to games. All 5 Games made by Bethesda were great (for their time)

  • Damn, this is an awesome review. Funny, full of information, entertaining to watch. Thanks for that! :)

  • this game is epic :)

  • This is cool, there's no where near enough reviews for old pc games.

  • i love that game when i was a kid,

  • aah memories :) guess we're kind of the same age

remembering this as it was yesterday, mainly because i bought this game when i was the first time in the states (actually my uncle had to buy it for me), together with doom, hexen... and was just amazed HOW cheap they where.... until i figured out (back home in europe) what "shareware" meant :D

i had to play the level with the moon a million times to beat it (running out of ammo ;)), then the game ended... i will never forget this moment.

  • whats the music at the end of the vid

  • System Shock 2 - Engineering by Eric Brosius

  • Actually it's Operations 2.

  • pretty amazing game for it's time. so detailed.

  • I loved this game so much , I played this for hours

  • I loled at moon owchies XD

that and the fail cutscenes(that lady is totally a great actress)

  • Awesome review! I've just finished playing Skynet, with help from your Skynet "video walkthrough" on your other youtube channel.

  • HAHA that guy was staring at here boobs the whole time. Hey who's that svengoolie guy That you blew up????

  • Some noob that needs a controller to play first person shooters.

  • lmao you killed the moon! how much did this cost when you first got it?

  • How much did the game cost? I got it on amazon for like 5 bucks. I only got it a couple months ago. I wish I heard of it back when it came out.

  • ah, but when it came out it was probably really dear. bet you wish you were given this instead of willow lol

  • Excellent video! I picked this up at a charity shop (thrift store) but I don't really have time to play these old games (I'm more of a collector) but now I've seen most of what it has to offer I don't need to!

  • I remember playing the demo and being pretty impressed with it. Good review.

  • its time for a secret of the monkey island vid.

  • I have to admit, this game does look pretty fun. It's a shame I didn't get into it when it came out.

  • Nice video, game looks decent for an ancient one. But... I couldn't help notice, but you said "Nucular" instead of "Nuclear", was that on purpose?

  • I said "nuclear" but I don't pronunciate things well, so I can see the confusion.

  • Oh, I see, nice video.
