  • Very impressive But most importantly, Were is this music from?!

  • Sorry to pester you with questions, but what size of steel bar did you use?

  • that's cool that took a lot of time and that is very creative nice job!

  • Can you give me a general diagram of the basic stilts. I really like how these make the wearer's legs look!

  • @Wolfgal16

My husband doesn't have a diagram. He just took an old pair of roller blades took the wheels off and bent a steel bar so it made a curve on the end. When he try to walk around on them they felt a little slick so he used and old pair of my shoes. He took the heels off and put this on the bottom of the steel where it touched the ground by using a bolt.

  • Now they just need robotic versions of the legs to make it more realistic and robotically control the masks mouth to the movemnt of the guys mouth

  • A BLAD WEREWOLF HALF KLINGON! LOL XD but still cool looking though ao ao aoooooooo

  • Did you place and mold the clay directly onto the stilt(Starting at 1:40)? I'm a little confused as how to make the negative and positive molds. I have a pair of stilts all made up, and I love the realistic quality you got from the material you used (which I'm not exactly sure what materials you did use O_O). Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to ask is: did yo have to make two different mold( a negative and positive) in order to make the skin for the stilts? If so, how exactly does that work?

  • @Zullala

I am not sure of all the answers. My husband did have to make a negative and postive. He first put press and seal (cling wrap) then put the clay on top. He molded the clay on one of the stilts put this in a box and poured in whatever that was ( i can't find the name of it right now) to make the negative. When that was done drying he took out the roller blad and poured in the silicon. waited for that to dry. then we pulled it back over the roller blade and painted and put the hairs on

  • @npvanwey

    Thank you, that helps ^__^.

  • soooo cool... :-) nice job.!

  • nice

  • Honestly!

How DID you make those Digi understructures?

  • I would really like ot buy a pair of the understructures for a pair of my own stilts. but you haven't logged on to this account in 4 months, so I don't know my odds of getting in contact with you. But please, if you read this email me feroxdeovacuusvinco@yahoo.

  • Would I be able ot buy the understructure of a pair of stilts from you guys? the metal+rollerblade part?

  • super cool and u got some real talent there :-) im sooo jealous

  • can you tell me how did you do the stilts?

i am wondering if i should do mine in wood or metal?

  • i don't think wood would be strong enough, i use metal and old pair of roller blades, i just ben the metal and attached to roller blades

  • thanks cool costume by the way

  • Do you think altering this design by adding bungie cords to act as tendons would help with the balance? I'd like to use something similar to this for a costume.

  • the legs were a work of art!

Im so doing this next year.

I can't wait to get my paws on the equipment!

    heh heh

  • Loved the Digigrade legs you made! THe Mask was also awsome! I wish you would have had more time to develope the body costume :) a furry chest and claws for arms would have been a great finishing touch! Keep up the good work! :)

  • i cant believe u went throught all that troble and didnt even record a video of what its like when u were walking around as a werewolf....

  • You forgot the KY jelly on the face for that wet horror look :)

  • THOSE are some BIG legs

  • wish i knew hwo to make the legs XD

  • Wow the foot looks amazing!! :D Hahaha loved the straw breathing holes xD

  • this is amazing! Thanks for uploading this video! :)

  • That was really good! I can't believe it only took 79 hours!! I work for an interactive haunted house attraction and I wear "hooves" that have a digigrade leg and mine are no wheres near the awesomeness of yours~!

    I bet those bungees hurt!

  • I kept on saying to myself, "OH MY GOD! THIS IS AMAZING!" lol next year for Halloween, I'm gonna be a werewolf hiding in the bushes scaring people!!

  • same here! :)

  • did you do a video of the lycan suit in action all dressed up?

  • how did you make those stilts they were sooooooooo much better then the ones ive seen... thats all i need to know... i can figure everything else out i jus really want to make those stilts...

  • My husband just took old roller blades, steel that he bent with a curve on the bottom, bungee cords that attached to his knee pads, and then odds and ends to make the bottom more stable (old pair of my shoes he took the heels off and then just a piece of rubber that he wrapped the steel with at the tip).

  • MAKING STILTS #2

I bent some flat stock metal the shape of an S (just used a vice and a cheater bar) and bolted to the bottom of a rollerblade boot. To be able to stand at that angle there must be tension pulling the boot heel up.

I used a bungee near the heel and then looped across the top of my leg (a few inch above the kneecap)

That's where it was painful. I just did not have the time to perfect them before Halloween.

  • Lol.... That Lykan's got a FUCKING BATLEV!!!

  • wow. altough im not a werewold fan, those legs there the real deal. SO much better than others ive seen.

  • the dude is acutally a lycan

  • Awesome costume, but the work on the legs over shadowed all the other brilliant work, If you couldn't afford the fur, you could have gone for the idea that he had his shirt on instead of painting him. Anyways I love the costume, its extremely awesome.

  • That was siick but mabey spend 110 hours and make a body suit instead of painting yourself brown, that was prety cool man.You could get a skin tight shirt and cover it in horse hair?

ah well that was stil awsome.

  • You should make a tutorial on how to do this dude.... I think you could have sculpted the face better though like something from Underworld itself...like William or maybey even from Dog Soldiers.

  • What kind of elastic cord did he use to help with walking int he stilts?...I cant find one strong enough.

  • we went to the store and bought new bungee cords, we used the small ones

  • wow what a good sculpter! That is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing!!!!!!! I want it!!!!!! :D

  • how do you make these?

  • the legs looked incredible, major props on that....but I don't think the rest of the costume lived up to it. But HELLA GREAT JOB ON THE LEGS!

  • kinda looks like the preaditor

  • Out Standing Job on the feet though i am curious why didnt you use the design from UW Evolution those feet had a 4 piont platform and fit like a pair of Crocs. see the Featurette "Making Monsters Roar" in the bonus features. once again Ecellent job....

  • That was awesome as!!, you should make a body with it. That would look insane! 10/10

  • Yeah, he should make some muscular, arms, chest, abs, etc the same way he did the legs. The werewolf needs more muscular mass(or workout)! lol This was a very nicely done costume man, you should make and sell them to ppl who request these things ;)

  • where do people get these!

  • Nice job on the feet!

  • WOW!!! you have got to keep at doing this kind of stuff. not many people can do that. you r amazing. I suscribed and favorited.

  • MAKING STILTS #2

  • i was ghostrider for halloween. but i used mostly things that i could find in my house. this was an awesome costume!!!!!!

  • it must of took a long time. the hairs are individually punched in! great job!

  • Thank you, we actually did the head piece in 9 hrs, we finished it 30mins before we had to leave for the Great Halloween Party our friends throw every year! Talk about being rushed.

  • Yeah!. but, the good thing is you did an awesome job! 10/5.

  • Wow, I am very impressed. This was a great video capturing a beautiful process. I am planning on making a Draenei (<---Wow Character) and this is very helpful

  • Can you tell me the name/type/model of the pink sculpting foam you used? I used some of that stuff back in the day in a sculpting class but have since forgotten the exact name of it and can't seem to find it anywhere...

  • The only pics of the stilts are what we have on the slide show. he just took old roller blades, steel that he bent with a curve on the bottom, bungee cords that attached to his knee pads, and then odds and ends to make the bottom more stable (old pair of my shoes he took the heels off and then just a piece of rubber that he wrapped the steel with at the tip). We actually sold them to someone that saw them here on youtube.

  • Awesome! Do you think you could make a tutorial? Or make more and sell em? If you have the moldes for the legs, and if the stils are as easy to make as you say, i know of alot of people who would buy them.

    You rock!!!! <3

    Please reply ^.^

  • show us how you made the metal stilts he was walking in

  • Those stilts are so cool, very inspiring, i'm gonna make a pair!!

  • Ha ha that was a lot of work to end up looking so retarded.

  • Would like to see your costume that you built from scratch. I am betting its awesome.

  • Realize a video showing like to construct the stilts?

    Please

They are exelentes for all kinds of gown

    Thank you

  • We don't have any video of him putting it together. Sorry.

  • What did he do to bend the pieces of steel? some sort of press?

  • He just used a vice and a cheater bar

  • WOW! That is absolutley amazing! It looks sooo realistic!!!! AWESOME TALENT!

  • Thank you everyone for the great comments! I think my Husband is very talanted! Wish he could do this fulltime I think he would be Awesome!

  • now this guy is on the right track. Well done.

  • PS: Good music, sounds like something from either Nightbreed or Circ-du-Soleil. Very appropriate.

  • Wow Wow WOW! Very cool! I came across this while looking for stilt help for a faun costume I'm working on, and the work you put into this is inspiring! Very awesome!!

  • u guys are crazy :))
