he actually does not go out of sync at the end(1:59). The bass player is just reacting to the the piano's rhythmic m3rd maj 3rd lick and he(bassist) catches the up beats for 2 bars. i hate being right. you love it.

yeah he sounds great, but he can't be called the most swinging drummer. It starts to rush towards the end, and he gets out of sync with the bassist, which ruins the groove momentarily. I don't mean to be a bitch, but the statement is a little too bold.
