Dave Great as usual , Thanx for playin a tele,Question could you do a linear riff that Plays Progression (I,V,I)Fassion?I Guess it would sound Kinda Neo Classic,if it was Legato,I've been trying this with Dif. Progressions , I Would Like to here your take on it?
Oh, RedBear! Love those pics. They really do have amazing sound to them. Just a little hint; don't try to test their durability by bending them, they will break in half. haha.
awesome vid dave, i kept having to rewind your explanation though. Found my self memorized with the track that was playing while you were explaining. Love your music, keep it up!!
Dave, What particular Redbear pick are you using? They have so many on their site, and they are all turtle shell color, where as yours looks clearish in the video.
Thanks Dave. Not been around for a while so just done a big catch up on your vids! Awesome stuff. Loving the new site. Props for that. Loved the tease at the end of this one too! Nice to see you getting a few more views too. Keep it up. :)
I checked out the red bear site couldnt find a button to buy the picks. but really $15+ for a guitar pick. Is it really that much better than the $0.25 dunlop ones i can get at guitar center
I use both lol- they are both very different- but sound the same in quality, in GR you are using a more technical interface, with amplitube its more like a 'real' setup and is divided like a real signal chain - stomp boxes, amp and preamp, then cabs, then rack mounted-
guitar rig is more modular in its interface, the screen is divided into two halves, left and right - the right side has your amp and pedal, EQs etc. and the left is more like a control pane- with tabs for presets, components etc
Why don't you make a "sound like Joe Satriani" lesson. That would be great because lets face it,nothing sounds like Satriani's legato. We appreciate your lessons.
Awesome Video Dave as always, you have helped my playing out quite a bit. Now I just have to find a band ha ha. Keep doing what you are doing man. Awesome stuff.
Dave, that is an awesome riff! It will certainly give me something very challenging to work on! Linear runs are where I'm most deficient. You're the best ! Thanks!
wow ive never seen a legato riff like that its was kinda weird seeing that after watching vai and satch just go up and down . Really original and i like it
it started with that linear Cmin stuff in the episode 51 and now this... you are making up some really mindblowing stuff that i can't play :-D but still... you are awesome guitar player and a big inspiration for me
Nice Riff Dave! Is that a Big Jazzer Heavy? I did check out RedBear a few months ago, but wasn't sure what would be close enough to a Jazz III XL to make me shell out the cash, cos they ain't cheap. :)
