  • how old r u

  • I am on the Nuva Ring right now and i find that im not liking it either....i always forget when to take it out or lose track of the days and i find i have a really low labido as well...i was thinking about the IUD or whatever its called...that birth control you can have for 5 years but i have heard a few bad things about it...not really sure what other BC is out there since the pill doesnt work for me either...

  • really? im super horny since i got on nuva ring!

  • skype?? whats ur skype?

  • I have been sexually active for a long while and I'm not even on birth control

  • was on seasonale for about a year and i only got a period every 3 months which i loved and I didn't notice until after I went off it that when I was on the pill it made me very moody and angry and i never wanted to have sex and so when I went off it I felt like such a huge weight had been lifted off me and I felt so much better. I switched to mirena which is an uid. I've been on it about a year and a half and I'm happy, my sex drive is back and I never get a period anymore which is amazing

  • Damn I just saw your last Nuvaring vid and I was gonna start that shit.. now I'm thinking twice...

  • @PirateDuckyy ditto.

  • Guys maybe she doesnt want to show her boobs jeez show some respect

  • Ugg why does being a girl have to be so hard?

  • Your shouldn't need any kind of birth control if your still in school.

  • @AlexisDross She means college haha

  • @MissNathalieAnn Check out Ormeloxifene aka Centchroman. It has all of the benefits and almost no side effects. Look it up at Wikipedia and internet forums to double check yourself.. It is sold in india, but if you google it enough, you can ship it here. My ex and I used it for months without problems. We were very careful to use it in conjunction with spermicides though.

  • Read the possible side effects tho: Women who have PCOS, or have chronic cervicitis or cervical hyperplasia should not take it, according to the package insert that comes with Saheli as it is packaged for sale in India. The insert also lists ‘severe allergic conditions,’ ‘chronic illnesses like tuberculosis, renal disease,’ and ‘recent or past history of jaundice or liver disease’ as contraindications. That said, its been around since the 80's and no one has complained of any major side effects.

  • My gf uses this and its Ben over a year. This ring will make you feel off for a awhile until your body fully gets used to the hormone, and then you feel fine agian.

  • you look kinda like amanda bynes

  • do not try the depo shot

  • perhaps you need a new boyfriend

  • You are reaaaallyyy cute..lucky boyfriend

  • show me the tits

  • My seed > birth control. It's unstoppable.

  • she looks so retarded.

  • hi laci, good to c u teaching this info to the youth. i do as well in clinics. i knw im like extra late but since we have a similar nuvaring journey lol i just wanted 2c if u heard of the "implanon" its a new implant contraceptive inserted in the upper inner arm. it last for 3 years. so look it up, check it out and i wish u the best. many women swear by it but as u knw everyone reacts differently. it has no estrogen jus an fyi. keep up the good work;-)

  • I have the nuvaring and I feel the same way! Did you ever find something to switch to? I hate the pill, the shot and iuds. Looks like I'm just screwed... right?

  • tits or gtfo?

  • hi i have been off the pill for about a month and a half now and i have recently been getting really sore breasts and feeling really bloated.. i took a pregnancy test 1 test was positive and the other was a negative.. what does this mean? please help.. thank you

  • @siennaleone It means you need to go to the doctor and get them to test you.

  • @the0hs0strange0ne yea.. thanks..

  • yeah what did you end up switching to laci?

  • I personally love the NuvaRing! I have been on it for 7 months now and the only problem I had with it is that I did not know that I should not take St. John's Wort while on the NuvaRing and I had some spotting. I discontinued taking St. John's Wort and I have been absolutely peachy ever since! ^.^ The only downfall is that, apparently some guys can feel it, so if that's a problem, you can take it out for up to 3 hours at a time! :D I would not go on any other form of BC; I LOVE MY NUVARING! <3

  • i actually tried depot provera as my first birth control method. for 3 months i was absolutely confused and depressed. suddenly i did not love my boyfriend. for a week or two at a time. very scary, very confusing. that is strong stuff, so be careful if youre considering it. i then switched to nuva ring afterwards and, because its a combination estrogen/ and whatever the other chemical is it was easier on my body. i felt no change in emotions and its the most wonderful thing for 20 bucks a month.

  • laci, what birth control did you end up liking?

  • so what do yu recommend iwas thinking of using the nuvaring but im insecure about getting pregnant, what should ido ?

  • Try maraina

  • i'm gonna say what a lot of other people have probably already said (i didnt read any other comments, im lazy)

But, sex is awesome. there's no reason anyone shouldn't try it. do it daily, heck at least once a week! if you're in a relationship, keep it faithful. if you're single, wear a damn condom every time.

and another thing: how about giving me a ride sometime? :D

  • At first i kinda liked the nuvaring... It's easy, convenient... I haven't noticed any mood swings or anythnig(and I watch how I'm acting really carefully anyway, have to) but I noticed it seems to effect how some things... work. Like making them grosser. I'm kind of ocd so that's an issue for me, lol. I'll be making an appointment with my doc within the next week for a pill.

  • I love how you noticed the changes in your body. I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and I went crazy. I was exactly how you described: depressed, pessimistic, introverted, etc. I got off of it in a second! I haven't been on BC for a while and I'm hoping Nuvaring will work for me. I just hated how I felt on the pill and I NEVER want to feel like that again.. Hope all is well with you! :)

  • Nothing man made does anything medical as well as your NATURAL body function. Pregnancy a concern? Abstinence or wear a condom, both are drug free and effective.

Medicine is MEGA HUGE business, but remember that pills haven't even been around 100 years and people are MILLIONS of years into our evolution. In other words no pill can truly be tested for all effects, some my affect your kids or grandkids (that you don't even have yet) 30-40 years after their birth.

    Give natural a chance.

  • @SgtKickaxe sorry, but a condom only works sometimes. i've had more than one condom break and its scary. its true that medecine is a huge business but dont forget, when people didnt have the pill or anything, they WERENT just fine. they got pregnant and then they were forced to raise a child they didnt want. so, since nuvaring uses chemicals that ARE naturally produced by our bodies, you just have to find the match that is the closest to your original levels.

  • I feel thankful being a male and not having to deal with all this just for the sake of contraception...

  • I watched both NuvaRing reviews, and I agree with everything Laci said. At first I felt great about the ring, I don't feel it and my boyfriend doesn't either. Also, my period is perfectly regular and so so light.

Now, for the past two months my libido is, like she said, way down. I either feel apathetic or depressed, nothing feels interesting or fun, I'm just going through the motions each day. I've been on the NuvaRing for six months and I'm using my last one.

I won't be buying it again.

  • Hello, may i know what contraceptive method are you on right now? i have a friend who talked about crazy mood swings from nuvaring as well... i dont know if i should get it or not... thanks!

  • Hello, may i know what contraceptive method are you on right now? i have a friend who talked about crazy mood swings from nuvaring as well... i dont know if i should get it or not... thanks!

  • I'm terrible at taking the pill, have a family history of reactions to the shot ( six of my close relations, yeah I know big family ), had personal issues with the ring and my Dr. Has Recommended that I wait till after childbirth to use the IUD mirena because of my cervix... Been using spermicidal foams and condoms but have a very fertile background. Can anyone recommend me anything. I am the oldest woman( at 25 ) in my family in three generations to not have kids already but it has taken mon

  • i was on the pill and it made me gain 30lbs in like 4 months.... yeah it sucked .__.

  • I'm thinking of trying the Nuvaring and am a little nervous about the emotional side effects. Would you say the pros outweigh the cons in your experience with it? I'm really hoping it'll cut down on my bad cramps too!

  • @BlueDarjeeling

I just started the ring like a week ago..still on my period, lighter yes, but over 7 days of aunt flo..yuck! I have had more back pain and cramps since starting. Normally 3days tops of cramps, almost 6 with the ring. Not taking a pill everyday is nice, but so far, thats the only plus.

  • @BlueDarjeeling all i had was a bad experience i just took it out like 2 weeks ago and started something else because my hair started falling out like really bad :( and i was seriously feeling like suicidal and stuff which is totally not normal for me i am not that way at all so just watch it carefully and if you notice anything weird just dont use it anymore

  • gosh this is the first video, where you actually sound like a normal human being (no adhd)or did u switch from nuva ring to ritalin? either way not everything about you is bad, u have a cute smile.

    peazzzzzz!

  • you should try the patch, evra

  • Look up the male multiple orgasm. It's full proof for pregnancy prevention if the guy has a strong prostate musculature.

  • Vegans are bad, and laci is hot

  • I was thinking of switching to a form of birth control that doesn't involve taking pills, because while I am really good at taking them on time, it takes a Herculean effort on my part. Also, they are the only non-vegan things I consume (they contain lactose), and I don't like that. This is making me reconsider, though. My birth control pills work great for me, so perhaps I should leave them be.

  • Oh I am SO glad I came across this video!! I've been on nuvaring for 2 months, and same as you, I was feeling down, depressed, and probably the MOST annoying side effect was my completely deflated libido. (Husband was even less happy about that...) So glad to hear that I'm not the only one!

  • Too paranoid to use a condom??What do you mean by that?? Just wondering cuz im obviously a dumbass.]:

  • @ZenaRoxLaLaLand She said that she was too paranoid to use ONLY a condom. She uses a condom, in addition to hormonal birth control to make sure that she doesn't get pregnant.

  • try the patch

  • I got an IUD about 3 months ago, and it is AMZING! the first month was hell-- crampy, spotty, but no change in mood. However, after the first month passed, things got better, and i actually havent gotten my period sense (which is totally normal.... your period stops after a while, and for some people it happens sooner than others) it has been working sooo well for me, and i really recommend it. Kaiser paid for it, and so it was also free :) its called mirena-- message me if you have Qs!

  • Lol she's 20 peeps and she's smart!

  • I take my back comment, i am sorry. I didn't realize you were older then 14. You really should update this video or put a comment saying your age. You really look extremely young. My bad.

  • @johnnyjaaav I actually have lived on my own for quite some time, work 2 jobs--1 at a law firm and 1 teaching sex ed at a high school, about to go to graduate school, and been with my partner for a year. Of course this is irrelevant in reality, sexuality is a beautiful part of life from young to old. Your oppressive attitude is shameful at best.

  • @lacigreen No no, laci...this guy is right...I mean, you should be at least like...32 or 33 (like him) before you start thinking about having sex.

  • @johnnyjaaav i dnt think its ur goddamn place to tell someone else wut the fuk they should and should not do...who the fuk died and made u god all mighty...stfu u celabate panzee

  • The only place I found on the internet for affordable NuvaRing and etc... birth control without insurance is: MyCycle Direct. I found the MyCycle company though Encyclopedia online and I discovered that they are the leading online Birth Control Pharmacy. Good Luck

  • With birth control sometimes you have to try several different pills and contraceptives until you find one that works with you. you also need to factor in how you are during your period. From my experience with birth control, i found that information important. I was prescribed Yaz because I didn't have just PMS I had PMDD (Pre-Menstrual Dysforic Disorder) which is PMS on steroids. It all depends on the person, so i say just try a few things and if you find one that works. I hope you do!

  • @engalnd2newyork so true! you are wise :)

  • @lacigreen hi laci so glad u are teaching great info to young people out there. i also do the same, i teach in clinics. i know im like 11 months late lol but our nuvaring journey sounds very similar lol did u ever think about the "implanon" its a great implant contraceptive that protects you for 3 years. u get it inserted n2 the inner upper part of the arm. of course it afects everyone differently but many women swear by it. so look it up check it out and keep it safe:-) keep up the good work

  • how long were you on it before he pointed out your change in demeanor?

  • it seems like the pill is one of the only birth controls that's highly effective AND doesn't throw you out of wack or have a lot of side effects. i wish there was a birth control as safe and effective as the pill that didn't throw you out of wack that would be nice

  • what does age have to with ir sex is a personal decision. and she's not making a fool of herself shes letting people know that the nuvaring has some bad sides effects and i wish i would've payed more attention to this vid because the nuvaring made me really depressed too! the bad part is it didn't set in for almost four months! so the damage it did to me was much worse than what she went through. and girl i know exactly how you feel. screw nuvaring i'd rather take the pill every day

  • HOW OLD ARE YOU?

  • @MrszC14 By this time she's about in her early twenties.

  • @MrszC14 She's 20.

And either way WHAT DOES IT MATTER?!

  • Sweetie, what you dealt with was the side effects of the Nuvaring cause a week before my period comes on I go on an emotional rollercoaster, but its a side effect. I am glad you are feeling better although I am mad late on this vid. LOL!

  • Zing!!

  • @chainerd Says the fag who can't tell the difference between "your" and "you're".

  • fine, YOU'RE a Troglodyte who should stop abusing people based on their looks, I mean seriously. Why comment if your just going to abuse someone?

  • @chainerd I think it would be best if you just stop making a complete dumbass of yourself.

  • and exactly how do you think I'm doing that? tell me I'd love to hear your enlightened point of view.

  • Use a condom... ROFL

  • I've been on the ring and I had the same side effects. I was crying all the time and getting upset about stupid little things. I gained weight and the libdo was down too, but it settled down after about 2 months. Then I moved to Romania where they don't have it and so I had to stop taking and I just found it in England again. I tried the pill and it was horrible, I was so nauseous and the patch was bad too. I hope you feel better soon!

  • I have just been prescribed the Nuvaring and I haven't started it just yet. I was on the pill before but like you I also hated it. Now I'm kind of nervous about it :S....we'll see what happens.

  • at first i was like -_- but then i lawd ^_^

  • I went on the nuvaring for a hormone imbalance (I was super depressed and anxious for no reason and my periods were all outta wack) I'm on my third month of it and i have no problems with it, my mood has improved and im no snapping at my husband for stupid reasons

  • Ok i was totally raving about the ring a couple of weeks ago and i started having some problems: really bad migraines, nausea, fatigue, complete loss of sex drive, really sore/swollen breast, and etc.. into my third month so i took it out on monday and i feel better already, still have headaches but they are too bad and my nausea has gone away

  • Why don't you use a condom?

  • Sidebar. It says she is way to paranoid to just use a condom.

  • Oh sorry I didn't read it :)

  • Tell you r boyfriend to become a ninja at understanding his own rhythm. This will require him practicing on his own. Dont touch the lad. Leave him be. Then tell him to pull out when the time comes. However, when you do so and he pulls out, tell him to do it sexfully.

    Ha!

  • ROFL she's like its amazing take it DOO IT!!. now..mmm maybe not so good lol. ahh just being an ass keep the vids commin.

  • you look like miley cirus:))

  • So i'm just starting on the nuvaring and i know this sounds weird, but i'm scared to start it i'm scared i'm not gonna be able to take it out after it goes in like i lose it lol. it it hard to put in and take out and how do you know when its in?

  • ok heres what will slove every thing just dont have sex and no one will have to worry about buying condoms and birth control just wait till your married gosh.

  • Lol i hope ur being sarcastic ?

  • no i am not being sarcastic really if you thought of it, if more people would do that less sexcually transmitted diseases would spead . duh!

  • DO NOT USE NUVARING!!! IT MADE ME PERMENANTLY INFERTILE AND ALMOST KILLED ME!!!

    lawsuit pending...

  • Ouch. That really sucks. Hope you get em good. If what you say is true, payout will be massive. However, what you have lost money cant pay back ever. Sigh sorry but i feel very sorry for you.

  • thank you for that. i seriously hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, but i know it already has. there are tons of class action lawsuits against nuvaring.

  • how?

  • @TheArkhamasylum NO idea. be careful

  • TOTALLY AGREE, i didn't like the nuva ring. it made me depressed and my libido was totally lowered.

  • how do u gt it w/ out parents knowing ?!

  • planned parenthood?

  • dnt u need to get it filled at a pharmacy..that would call 4 an insurance card..help

  • what????

  • THANK YOU!!! AGREED

  • You got pregnant. Way to go.

  • I also have noticed that I have not been talking on the phone with my close friends and relatives even when I know they call. THAT IS TOTALLY NOT ME!!!

I finally talked to my cousin and she told me how much she missed me in these couple of months and how she wanted to see me and talk to me. We talked all the time. I do think Nuva Ring i playing a major part in this.

I did not feel like this when I used the Paragaurd (IUD) or the patch.

  • ya, I have been kinda introverted myself, I usually get out of the house like once every week and hang out with my friends and family. Now, since using Nuva Ring, (I am a stay at home mom of 4 kids all 6 yrs old and younge) I can stay at home for even two weeks at a time without leaving the house not even to go to the store. THAT IS TOTALLY NOT ME!!!!

  • She's basically an adult. Why not? She's being completely responsible, unlike some complete whores out there.

  • taking birth control at 19

  • Better than getting pregnant. I know girls my age (15) getting pregnant :| They shouldn't even be having sex yet :\ At least this girl is being responsible.

  • THANK U

  • wow, i recently came across you and i'm slowly getting to find/view all ur vids, but i noticed a big difference between your bright and sunny self, to seeing you post, where its almost like ur in pain, i was actually a lil concerned, but i'm glad your returning to your regular self...love your vids and keep them up ^^

    ~Robert

  • lets fuck u kinky girl u

  • You are very insightful and helpful thank you :3

  • daaaaaamn her eyes are radiant

  • Howhmigosh! Do your parents KNOW that you're having sex already? It must have been weird for them to find out... How'd they find out?!?!? I bet this is going to be a good story :>

  • what is the votebot issue?

  • Holy shit! How long did it take you to get your P.H. D

  • everyone calling her a slut is immature. She's taking care of herself and preventing pregnancy unlike many teenagers nowadays!

  • doesnt keeping things up there make it more lose? loose? looooser?

  • Placebo effect?

  • no, its for responcible people...

  • 2:06. Learn how to listen. She says its GREAT, not for HER "sweetie"

  • hahahahahahahahahaha

  • PERFECTLY DAMN RIGHT

  • all I use for birth control is my face. HEYO.

  • your eyes are sexy i love it keep it up...

  • I'm sure your father's really proud of you for doing this, LaciGeeeee. Yeah...

  • As i'm sure your many people would be of you, tell us how did you stumble upon this?

  • I received an anonymous tip from your mama.

  • LOL I started on the Nuvaring and its more like an abstinence ring... I have no sexual appetite! o.o

  • so it's working fine lol :D

  • O.o I dont think I buy birth control just for buying it.... Its like buying condoms and using them as balloons instead of actually using them for sex... lol =]

  • you could always use that type of birth control that also only gives you a period three times a year or if you choose four times a yr. i think its called seasonique the other one i think is called yaz... they are supposed to make b.c. and regulatory periods more comfortable for you.

  • Patches are the bitch. I love those things. I'm trying this ring because its cheaper though... who knows, it might work

  • I didn't mention this below, but I also wanted to point out that if you feel strange or uncomfortable with this change during the first few months, or it continually gets worse, you need to STOP the meds- just a Laci did--tho- if ur on a pill, it's often advisable to slowly ween yourself off. Everyone will experience the swing, but if it's enough of a change for a friend to point out, ask ur doctor for a change and discuss the TYPE of hormones in the meds-they will all affect YOU differently!

  • Love ur videos Laci!!

I'm a psych grad student, and I'm researching hormone changing drugs- including birth controls. I wanted to let people know that it's normal to have MAJOR mood changes for a while after starting any hormone regulating meds! You actually swing far to the other side of things for the first few MONTHS and THEN level out-- This will happen with ANY hormone meds you go onto. Some may not be as severe at first, but you should level out after 6 months with ALL of them.

  • Many doctors don't advise patients on this-Even with depression- people can be suicidal and then go on meds to for help, but they will actually get WORSE for a few months before getting better. This is scary, and it's why I believe ALL patients with any suicidal tendencies need to be monitored.

Feeling 'out of character' is very normal for the first 6 months tho-and if u go off it, there will be another swing while u level out. Then, with new meds-there's 6 more months of swing in hormones.
