I prefer just getting the itouch . It's cheaper and u can jailbreak it plus the gba emulator and roms so u can play gba not to mention the cool apps and safari browser which is fast.

i have an itouch (got a 32 g), its a great little device with moderate gaming value as a portable. control wise, it tends to be a wreck, not as much with the elite games on the app store though (ttr and games of that level) anygames that heavily rely on digital d-pad suffer, even moreso with digital analog!.

price wise though, they are FRIGIN EXPENSIVE! the memory is non-expandable too (which is why i had to go with 32G and not 8).

even the gimped 8g model is more expensive than DSI. :P

well you can hack DSi and DS Lite as well you know.....you buy a flash card and BOOM!.....free DS games to download off the internet.....I have a Ds Lite, but a ton of games for it cause I have a flash card.....you can also add homebrew software even watch videos and listen to music as well....it has an mp3 player which is called Moonshell.....all inside a little cartridge that does all the hacking for you in the DS

dsi would have been better if it was compatible with the ds lite products because there is so much on sale for ds lite and not many added things to buy for dsi apart from a case and new stylus designs i mean things like the guitar hero grip no longer fits they lose out on sales of the dsi because of silly little things like that that is why they have sold more ds lites then dsi since it's release. the dsi has been designed to not recognise things like AR so people who cheat on games bad luck

Great review!. You should block these spammers. They have no life. I love the DSI & D.S. Lite!. It sucks the DS Lite isn't compatable with Game Boy & Game Color games, but I have the Game Boy Player on my Gamecube so Im happy for that. I wish the audio slots had more than 10 seconds. I can only record a 3 minute song that takes up all the room on all 18 files.

Um, actually, you can play DS games on the DSi. and it doesn't lag. i have one myself. The movements and colors are vibrant and swift, without any lagging. it is worth the money. Now whenever I see something that's funny or interesting, i can take a picture of it. And now it fits better in my pocket because it's more thin. With bigger screens, better graphics, and the ability to take pictures, who could say that the DSi wasn't worth it?

Yeah, thats what I thought until my ds broke and i got one as a replacement - you've got to try it to believe it really in my opinion. Everything on it is awesome, but the main thing is the downloadable games, which is actually the biggest update on top of the ds, and had my DS not broken, I would have got one anyway (if i knew how awesome it was)

It is not ruined in ANY WAY, it is a really fun, sleek, fast system which is better than the ds lite in every possible way.

I personally think that the DSi isn't worth it. People only get the aspect that it has a camera. But when most of the people amazed by the fact it does have a camera they have their own digital one.. why would you waste money on something you already have? and downsider.. you can't play with gba games! now my best suggestion if you dont have your GBA anymore is to just pick up a GBA micro, you can get them on the cheap now days(i saw a used one for 11$ in an EB games near me) , though, dont let GBA be the thing that holds you back from getting a dsi.

I'm not really feeling it, it represents more of how Nintendo is "selling out." Backtracking a bit, the 64 revolutionized gaming, it was genius. Above all, it was gameplay orientated.

Seems like owning a gaming console isn't about gameplay anymore. But it's okay, because you can take low resolution pictures of yourself. Fun. And you can no longer play GBA cartridges, but that's alright, because you can "buy" them, again, online.
