@sbc2k1 someone is confused here..... Turbo kits are difficult to install in most V8s. Unlike tuners.
AND, Japs (smarter people) release cars with high capabilities and potential (see rx7,supra,skyline, etc.) then its up to the buyers pocket as to how good the car will be. An import in full power is a tunned one, a V8 in full power is a pretty much stock one. Hondas and all that are made for aftermarket tunning, stangs are not. NOW make the comparison, if you dare.

each respective class has there fast cars and not so fast cars. I drive a 92 eg hatch with a b18c motor with forged internals running 23lbs of boost. drive it everyday and get 35mpg on the highway. then I run 10's at the track all weekend. I also have a mark vii with a ford racing 351 motor with a procharger. this car also runs 10's and gets 30mpg on the highway. it's not about who has more balls it's about tuning what you have the right way.

@SmearTheQueer89 stock trans with open diff. nothing has been ported or enlarged. Stock compression ratio and no stroking. I did put stronger pistons and rods though to make sure the motor last. stock suspension other than lowering springs. hell even the intake manifold is completely stock.

why do domestic guys complain about 4 cyclinders i grew up with muscle cars with my old man and uncle. one a ford guy, one a chevy guy. i am building a honda right now and the 2 that support me the most are you guessed it my muscle car family. i respect every car they learn stuff from me building an import and i definently learn from them. a car is a car block, pistons, head or heads. if you take time to build it i respect it.

@xmodrock It all depends on what you want the car for. and a engine swap in a honda is like pulling a small block out of a 60's chevy... really easy........ reliable and cheap go together for me!! i grew up with domestic's but really started to love turbo'd engines..... i am right now swapping a 03 LSx motor into my 88 pickup..... just something to be able to pull a trailer or boat.....

Why do all these stupid little kids brag about supposedly building a drag Honda that runs *insert sub-12 second quarter mile* times, but when a V8 guy says he's faster the argument suddenly turns to road racing? New flash: A drag V8 can still handle a track, a drag I4 has a MUCH harder time because the suspension is set up strictly for drag since it's FWD. Moreover, Chevy has the Nurbrugring I4/FWD record and Dodge has the fastest production lap from an actual production car, not one-offs.
