This would be far and away better tan an ipad as a portable sketchbook for us digitla artists, obviousely it cant match a cintiq overall, and the main gripe for many would be teh lack of function buttons(from what I can see anyway) however Im wondering now, would it be possible to hook up a tablet with function buttons to the modbook via USB, now that would be damn cool and make this a far cheaper but competent alternative to the cintiq!

@T3AM33 it has all the i/o of a normal macbook so any usb devices you use with any computer will work with it.

well on every tablet comes with 2 buttons on the pen near where every one hold the pen, you hold it and tap. Then its a right click :3

this is what i've been expecting Steve Jobs to do with the iPad, i mean, this looks brilliant, works brilliant, but then, he gave us a gigantor ipod touch with small memory and no flash. so how much is one of these so i can get one and use it inside an apple store? :)

i don't see how people are even comparing this to the iPad. They are both completely aimed at different markets. the iMod is solely targeted towards digital painters and THATS IT. I'm a graphic design student and I can't even see designers using this. Why would the casual computer user want to pay double for an iMod. Dont get me wrong it looks absolutely brilliant but does not appeal to the mainstream audience like the iPad does.

yep, actually if the ipad can do the digital drawing and painting like imod does, it will stand out. but the imod can browse the web too like other macbooks right? i mean, this iMOd is just an upgraded version of the macbooks, it can do everything a macbook does except it has touchscreen and bigger graphic card i think and memory.
