The fuse did not go out because the stick was in a small taco bell drink cup with the fuse sticking out the straw hole and a bit of fishing line attached to the cup to be able to fling it out into the water a little without the entire assembly falling apart. A couple rocks were put into the cup at the bottom beneath the half stick to keep it from tipping over in the water. I'm not sure if the fuse was water proof, that's why I did not just throw it in by itself. I got some new ones that are tho!
Yes, the camera jumped. No one was holding it, it was on a tripod. The blast was so loud and everyone was closer than the camera was so they felt even more of the blast wave than the camera, hence, they jumped. A normal reaction, especially when you consider that they have been told its a firecracker\m80 not a half stick. This was a half stick, people. Not an M80.
