people forget when you have money you have a lot of risks too. This is why Bill Gates cannot just stand outside a store with a crowd and buy products. Woz was an engineer with the mind of an dreamer. He seemed to always think what if you could do this. Then he figured out how to make it work. He was always learning how thing's worked from the Phone company system, to IC boards.

I think Woz and Jobs made a perfect pair and that is why they succeeded with Apple. Each alone would not have been much more then normal people in their profession.

I am not an apple fan, but I am a Woz fan (I need to learn how to spell his full name). I guess it is because I see him as the real innovator/ visionary, and jobs was just a businessman- much like Bill Gates.

I see him almost in the same way as the man who created Linux.

Most of the time his actual work time is minimal and he simply represents Apple in various capacities, but he is on the payroll, and in fact, his actual salary is higher than Jobs, since Jobs' salary is only $1/year. What I love about Woz is that he's just a giant eight-year-old. Doesn't wait to get home, he opens the box up right there in the mall area.
