  • 3:03 so creepy lol

  • This is awesome stuff. :)

  • are the bigger ones smarter and therefore dont fall for it?

  • What, no dizzy play. My cats LOVE to chase the pointer in circles.

  • don't mees with tigers @ night time.....matter of fact...don't fuck with tigers...ever.

  • Rofl. "King of the wild" does not enjoy tiny red dot ^ _ ^

  • 0:23 did your camera break? lol

  • @LlamaEnchilada No, I was kinda worried, this was filmed on a little flip camera not our more expensive HD camera ... just on case! :)

  • wolololo

  • the first one is like: wtf is the sorcry

  • again the names of the cat but not what kind of cat, otherwise awesome video.

  • 3:00 he wants to eat you.

  • This is rather informative. Next time I go mountain biking where there are pumas, I'll take a laser pointer!

  • usually, seeing a big cat staring at you in night vision mode is a bad sign. better throw catnip!

  • tiger dont care

  • big cats - like cats, but they big...

  • lol i knew the lion guy wouldn't care he never cares.

  • so laser pointer probably not a good way to distract a cougar if you meet one in the woods.

  • It seems to me the ones that didn't care were wise to your antics. Nice vid.

  • @MajikHaynds That's usually the reason house cats don't care

  • "Dude, Seriously!? LOL

  • I think smaller cats for some reaaon love lazer pointers

  • 3:00 '' Y u trollin me dude? ''

  • lol mountain loin was scared and he jumped!

  • LOL awww canyon!!!

  • Lol at the don't care part

  • This is so cool. I love when you test these (harmless) things that smaller cats love with the big cats! Although, myself, going out there in the dark with all those glowing eyes would just scare the heeby-jeebies out of me. (Yes I did just say heeby-jeebies)

  • I only came for the thumbnail.

  • i lold hard at 3:00

  • Once again, Joseph and Cameron didn't take their shit. :P

  • the white tigers looking like... ok? its fucking light what do you want from me? lol

  • Lol some did get mad!

  • cats and tiger sime famly

go my viddeo see my funny cats

  • Diablo was like I will eat you shiny thing\

  • haha the cat at 2:39 is just like "don't...fuck...with...me"

  • Wow, just like domestic cats, except the chance of them ripping you apart is much higher.

  • ahahah last tiger make me laugh XDD

  • @anedonia8

    Me too :DDDD

  • Nice

  • do you ever interact with the smaller cats such as petting?

  • lol, I'm going to gather that tigers and lions don't get much out of chasing flies either. I can imagine that it was pretty boring for them and they were more wondering how to get at that monkey with the camera instead. XD

  • Another cool video showing BIG cats playing like house cats, so awesome!!

  • awww, they look so cute and cuddly when they're not biting your face off.

  • COŚ MI MÓWI, ŻE TO INTRO JEST JUŻ LEKKOSTRONNICZE!

  • LOL some of the others like him were like Im to old for this :P lol

  • What's the music? Most likely elevator type-of one, but I like the bass line. Shazam failed on it though :(

  • "Dude seriously?" LOL! This made me laugh out loud!

  • Khajiit are always being tricked by this. This one doesn't know why.

  • You've got to be kitten me!

  • @1984wrx my jack russell chases a laser and absolutely goes nuts over it. But my other dogs don't really pay attention to it. I guess it just depends on behavior.

  • 2:28 looked like my cat at home. I was like: "YEAHH!". But then...

  • i think some of the bigger ones weren't paying attention to the laser pointer because they're trying to figure out how to eat you

  • @endlsswing You could be correct there :)

  • @BigCatRescue No its because there like . Not again I'm gonna get sleepy time after he shoots me again .

  • @BigCatRescue im not sure but im getting the feeling that they got maybe a little mad at the red dot following them , its like they thought u were a sniper....

  • why don't they do it during the day?

  • @dolllface826 Probably so it would be easier for the cats to notice the laser. During the day on those surfaces, it would be difficult to spot.

  • He's trapped :(

  • This is somehow even more adorable than housecats doing the same.

  • why is there a nickelback ad?

  • WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU FIND SO MANY LIONS

  • @DarrkWing there's only one lion in this video 0.o

  • Big cats dont give a fuck.

  • @kassel188 How ironic that you try to preach to someone WHEN YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE MORON.

  • music from 2:37 to 3:03 watch?v=fHo5w2WGZWA :D

  • Great video. Love the music you guys use in all your vids.

  • silly cats, you so crazy

  • Dude, seriously. xD That was fun.

  • Tiger: No, Laser doesn't have any good taste at all!. >.> LOL

  • I love how the little ones were going for it but the larger ones were freaked out, haha :P

  • Wow that glow-eyed lion looked ticked.

  • awww too cute. I just want to hug them.

  • I loved Purrsonality's reaction lol he/she seems to be very playful!

  • The ones who hissed/growled/grunted looked either unamused or startled by the laser light.

  • I'd like to see one of those servals play with it with room to run and jump, I'm sure it would be impressive.

  • That was fun to watch!! Thanks for doing that!!

  • is it just cats that do this, or do other animals go nuts to, i want to see what a monkey would do. does anyone know if that video exist?

  • @1984wrx Good question, and one I don't know the answer to?

  • @BigCatRescue my dog also hunts the pointer like a wild beast and she knows that i control it because every time i take it in my hand she starts to look for the dot on the floor. :)

  • @1984wrx

I've never tried a laser pointer, but my dog will chase after beams of light. I don't know about a monkey though...

  • @1984wrx This may not be exactly what you were thinking, but my dog goes nuts over the laser pointer. If we want the cats to play with it, we have to put the dog outside or in a separate room!

  • @1984wrx My dog does the same thing.

  • @1984wrx my dog would chase one for a while.

  • @1984wrx Well, human children do it...I did it to my cousins before. I don't see why other primates wouldn't.

  • @1984wrx I believe dogs have been known to do it and I wouldn't be surprised if rats did it either, I know they chase strings with feathers attached!

  • @1984wrx Dogs do it too.

  • @1984wrx My dog flips out when she sees the laser. Not a monkey, but still..

  • @1984wrx there are several videos of ducks who try eating a laserpointer's light dot, so i guess any animal to which small things with fast paced movement fall prey to will probably chase it. your idea with monkeys is actually extremely interesting, and of course apes, too! the somewhat big brains of an orang or gorilla might understand it after some trial and error.

  • @1984wrx My dog goes nuts at a laser pointer...though he kind of acts like a cat...

  • @1984wrx i can't say for sure, but i think monkeys wouldn't pay too much attention to it, they're too inteligetn, they might try to catch it at first, but after a few seconds, they'd stop. of course, that's just my speculation, i can't say for surem since i have no evidence, but i'd definetly loke to see it xD

  • @1984wrx watch?v=Mmu611eVd8M lol didn't exspect that XD

  • @1984wrx I don't know about monkeys, but every dog I know does it. I used to have a hamster that loved them too XD

  • @1984wrx monkeys probably to clever...

  • maybe they should of used these in Ohio..........

  • IF i am attacked on a african safari i hope i have a laser pointer to save my life

  • are the little cats really clamed as big cats because i know there wild cats but aren't as big as you know the loin, tiger, puma and etc.

  • @croburke Lions, tigers, leopards and jaguars are "greater cats" all other species are classed as "lesser cats", the term "big cat" is just a general on used for all wild species of cats :)

  • @BigCatRescue I have read in several places that cheetahs are also in the "big five". Is that true?

  • @apharot As far as I know the is the "big five" lion, African elephant, cape buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros.

  • @BigCatRescue Sorry, I meant big five cats. I have read in several places that it's tiger, lion, jaguar, leopard, cheetah. Being that I'm not in a line of work dealing with big cats, I don't know if there's discrepancy on this, or if something's changed, etc.

  • @apharot I'm not sure if there is a "big 5" when it comes to big cats? You could be referring to the greater cats, which are the lion, tiger, jaguar and leopards?

  • Purrsonality was determined haha

  • I noticed the "smaller" of the wild cats seemed more interested than the larger, like the lions and tigers. It would have been awesome to see the lion or tiger playing like the smaller cats did.

  • Could you try and make them lestin to music To see what their reaction is to different genres? Are cats Friendly with big cats or not?

  • @SkyPodish We've had that suggestion before and may experiment in the future :) We used to have several domestic cats that lived on the property and on the tour path and neither big cats or domestic cats were bothered with each other, they now live inside because they're old :)

  • 2:27 "Knock it off, BIPED!"

  • LOL @ those "I don't give a F***" cats

  • I figured the smaller of the big cats (like the bob cats and servals would go after it. Wasn't surprise when the big big cats didn't care. Cute clip though :)

  • the best part was at 2:59

  • so u guys rescue big cats? COOL! i want that job when i grow up!

  • I love it!!!!! lol. cats just can't resist!

  • As adorable as this vid is, 0:20 is a little creepy. Seeing a set of big cat eyes staring at me in the dark would make me piss myself. Even if the tiger/lion/cougar/leopard just wants to "play" I'm glad that cage is there, haha.

  • These cats must be the happiest cats ever. So many fun things to do!

  • @kassel188 Ha! I guess we can't prove it either way, but there is plenty of evidence leading us to believe this is not the case.

  • @kassel188 "Not that kind of laser" LOL

  • that one tiger looked p***d of lol. I think he wanted to play with you not the laser

  • hahaha biger the cat how smarter they are lolz

  • <3 just like my kitties at home

  • Aww that is so damn cute!

  • I can see why most wouldn't care, especially the big Big ones, as it's not like they'd get anything out of eating something that small.

  • @tweaker1bms Cat's don't think logically. They hunt in instinct; when something moves in a way that triggers that instinct, they HAVE TO attack! They can't not attack. In fact sometimes you'll play with a cat that does not want to play, but can't help it! Like, "I want to leave, but I have to keep batting at this thing!"

  • @Ninjalectual Hmmm, somewhat skeptical, but only in matters of precise accuracy of that statement. Never really seen it myself. Like with string seen a few cats simply not be into it, particularly the older ones though if that means anything. Perhaps I'm just akin to attributing to them some free will :P

  • @tweaker1bms There is actually a study (you can probably find it if you search, it was in a college textbook of mine) that found that cats will "hunt" something like a mouse that moves in front of them, even if they are currently eating a meal! They will stop eating to hunt! That is a pretty strong indicator that the are not making a conscious choice, that they do not hunt because they are hungry, they hunt purely on instinct because they can't help it!

  • @Ninjalectual I dunno if that could be the only conclusion possible though...one way to help think of other options is ask why we humans might do the same thing. Some other possibilities I could think of could be just cause it so damn fun for them (they do seem to get a greater kick out of it than we do...), or the ingrained survivalist thinking of get as much as you can now cause there may not be anything for a long time (forgetting us humans are there to refill the bowl). but eh, is cute :)

  • @Ninjalectual I just like to think there's some thought process going on, more than just reflexes. That's the main thing for me I think...

  • Haha, Tiger- Unless you have a nice turkey drum stick im going back to my cat nap... haha

  • loooooove the last one xD

  • AHAHAHAHAH I love how they don't give a fvck !! lol

    so funny.

like, wtf are you doing, noob? lol!!

  • @kassel188 i don't think you know how laser works and how it harms people/animals o.O

  • LOL I LOVED IT (^^

  • @kassel188

Actually one of the keys for animal enrichment when in captivity is to give them the opportunities to chase, play, and interact with several different objects. Since waving a laser pointer around gives the cats an opportunity to run, play, and chase this could be described as a rather effective tools in keeping their minds sharp and bodies fit.

  • wow that was insane! I thought my cats were crazy, but it's kinda neat, that even in the wild,a Big cat is still basically a Cat! I hope you check out my vid I made of my cat chasing a laser pointer, it's called "Dot & Dash"...it's short but sweet...good times

  • Nice vid. Would have liked it more if you put your life on the line and went after them big cats in the wild. Note to self: When visiting africa, bring lazer pointer. You could have saved my life with this vid, mate. Thanks.

  • Watching this shit puts a big smile on my face.

  • That was awesome. :-D --- Sent From BigCatRescue's AppRats (Facebook App)!

  • @kassel188 Okay.. have you ever owned a cat? I've owned several my whole life and I can tell you from experience that the majority of the time kitties love laser pointers. Actually, cats love anything that moves. You can tell this by the look in their eyes. Their pupils get larger and they get into the mood of chasing. It's very engaging for them. I can assure you there's nothing wrong with playing with a laser pointer. -_-

  • dont do that 2 wild cats or thay will eat u

  • @kassel188 I don't know about their big cats, but some years ago I had 3 housecats and a laser pointer keychain. Guess what sound got them all to come running? Not the sound of a treat package being shaken, not the sound of a cat food can being opened, but the jingling of the laser pointer would send all 3 running to me at a mad gallop. If they didn't like it, I don't think they'd come at a dead run like that, so much so that the girls (both longhaired) spun out cornering.

  • i do this with my cat she only has one eye and that does make it hard but she will litterally climb the wall

  • Awesome video, thanks!

  • @kassel188 You have it wrong, they say not to point lasers at your eyes. It wont hurt you otherwise. Therefore it's perfectly safe to play with they kitties as they were not pointing the lasers in their eyes. >_>

  • I hope you didn't blind any of them.

  • Awesome! Always wanted to know if there are more animals that respond to laserpointers like cats do :D

They look so cute chasing the red dot - I wanna cuddle them, though I think they would fuck me up and eat me :P

  • @kassel188 If the laser pointers harmed the tigers it would be ironic....

  • Silly question, but what's the music from about 0:20 onwards?

  • @CinnAlla This has been asked a few times :) The track is called "Night Fall" we purchased it from a royalty free site: music2hues*com Hope this helps!

  • @BigCatRescue Thanks :)

  • @BigCatRescue what is stronger lion or tiger

  • What was the Ligers' reactions to pointers?

  • @plastiko1291 Unfortunately Freckles our liger has passed away :(

  • @BigCatRescue awwww omg ): thats so sad.. aww srsly i hope he's better now

  • @BigCatRescue NOOOO!!! NOT FRECKLES!!! I liked her so much!! ;-(

  • haha i love your videos! keep those up!

  • The Tigers are so lazy! LOL.

  • 12 PEOPLE COULDN'T SEE THE LASER

  • Most the big cats were too intelligent to care...

  • How some of them were just staring was TERRIFYING!!!!

  • Wow. I didn't know big cats did that too.

  • purrsonality sounds like a lonely middle-aged woman's email address.

  • Dying of cuteness overload.

  • Do big cats go crazy for tuna fish? :)

  • @sqwishdabug We make them sardini martinis (frozen enrichment) and they love those!

  • too cute.

  • too cute.

  • do you guys have a building or office in cal?. I'd love to go see them

  • so from ur experciences how are the bigger cats differnt to domestic cats

  • @danietkissenle As the saying goes "a cat is a cat is a cat" they are all basically the same and act similarly. But obviously these are wild species of cats and they still have those wild instincts, this makes them extremely unpredictable and dangerous and we can never forget this no matter how cute and cuddly they may appear at times....

  • So cute vedio!!!;)

  • This is easily one of the top 100 videos on youtube

  • That last tiger was like "That's a very nice laser pointer you have there. A shame if some thing happened to you."

  • Love the picture of the tiny eyes with the arrow saying "Canyon"! Was he up at the top of his tree or down on the ground?
