Wesker didn't have superhuman powers in Resident Evil 1. He got stabbed by the Tyrant and then he revived himself with all of his dying might and injected the T-Virus into himself. Also, Wesker WOULDN'T own Jill in one punch. If you played Code: Veronica X, and you saw the scene where Wesker beats the shit out of Claire, she didn't die, did she? >_>

Yeah, you make a good point. I've always wondered just how much Wesker holds back in some of his fights with the heroes of Resident Evil. During the last scene of CVX, he seemed to be going all out with Chris, but when Wesker tormented Claire, he struck me as being more like the hunter that plays with his prey before he kills it, if you know what I mean.

I clearly understand where you're coming from with this. Thanks for backing me up - Yeah, Wesker literally tortures his prey! At the time I played Code: Veronica (The time it was released) - I was only about 11. I remembered playing through to the point where Wesker and Claire fought. I didn't realise he was so 'Superhuman' until I saw his eyes glow and that awesome jump he does. I still didn't understand until I researched the whole Resident Evil mystery. xD

Yeah, I hear you. :-) I was so excited to play Code Veronica that I didn't bother to watch the previews of the game before I hit the start button, and then when Chris knocked the sunglasses off of Wesker, big surprise!! I had no idea he was altered by the virus until that moment! It was a big shocker. And then month later, when they released Code Veronica X for the PS2,I was mad because was 10 extra minutes of footage of Wesker that wasn't in the original! Had to buy a PS2 just to play it!

But yeah, I was so upset. I bought Code Veronica to see what the deal was with Wesker, never had seen a commercial for it, and then about 6 months later, I see a full-fledged commercial for the game on TV for Code Veronica X for the PS2. They basically came right out and said that the developers didn't finish the game in time, so they released it without putting in the 10 extra minutes of cut scenes that were supposed to have been in all along.

Yeah, tell me about it. I only bought my Dreamcast so that I could play Code Veronica! Then I had to go out and get the PS2 just to play CVX to get the extra footage, lol! So I'll likely unload my Dreamcast at some point, since the only other games I had on it were later ported to the Playstation.

Although Wesker's first-person, knife only minigame is a lot easier on the Dreamcast version of CV than it is for CVX on the Playstation, for some strange reason.

Must have been, yeah. The dreamcast's controls made it hard to control the main game of CV, but for some reason, it was easier to control Wesker on first-person mode using only the knife. On the Playstation 2, the reverse was true. But it was fun beating the minigame with him, and I'm just glad we got to play as Wesker again in Umbrella Chronicles!
