I agree with you that sampling is getting out of hand, but I've kinda gotten used to it. I just can't stand when people sample vocals and "chipmunkatize" them. (That word's gonna be in the dictionary soon...right next to a picture of Kanye West). I also agree that the division between gospel music and secular music seems to be slowly dissapearing.

I knew that from the moment I first heard "Heaven" but it doesn't matter. Everybody samples nowadays, (yes, not just Kanye, even gospel artists too) but only some people do it justice. Kirk Franklin's "Looking For You" is a straight sample from Patrice Rushen's "Haven't You Heard" but tis still a good song.
