  • aircrafts

    there is air?

    juhu

    :D

Btw: Das Video wirkt ohne Musik öde. Such mal bei vimeo . com nach 6165539. Da isses noch vollständig. :)

  • You have done a great job with your Dobson telescope. Congratulations!

  • I noticed that at 1:49 there looks to be an object in the largest center crater. Do you know what part of the moon was being viewed there?

  • great footage i just got a 8 inch dobbs after watching this im glad i did :)

  • How much a telescope like this cost ?

  • Awesome just awesome I have the same scope

  • excellent pics

  • Nice, you had a couple crystal clear shots of the moon which were very awsome. I am saving to get my first scope, an Orion XT12g with the GOTO tracking ystem so I can track and take photo's ect, while having a larger apature for the money, about 15,00 bucks It looks like. Can you tell me what lenses or eye pices and magnifications you used to get those extreme close up shots of the Lunar surface? I would Like to get all the stff in one purchas and want extreme close ups like yours. Cheers, IC

  • I thought planes look upside down when viewed through a telescope... did you rotate the picture?

  • Yes, that´s right. I attached my cam upside down to eyepiece. If you use a DSLR cam without eyepice´s you didn´t have this problem.

  • Freakin Sweet!

  • you have got some nice shots there 5 stars my friend :)

  • Have you aimed it at one of the Lunar Landing sights to see it you can see something? Is this telescope yours? I love the Video.

  • Thx. Yes, it´s my telescope, but it´s impossible to see apollo landing sights with normal telescopes. The LRO is the first instrument, wich is able to do this.

  • Have you tried nature photography with this setup? How portable is it compared to a super telephoto lens? I'm thinking it's a lot more economical and a lot more powerful.

  • @tooosweeet

No i don´t try... but i´m sure it´s possible. The whole system have a weight about 25kg. In this case you have some problems to carry it anywhere. But... i don´t know a supertele only for dslr cam with this heavy focal length. So use a telescope and have fun... :)

  • Still want totry someday.. I know the Atmoshperic effects are 100% in-able to, but I figure @ somewhere in antarctica you could.. just depends.. they've tried it from Alaska....

  • this vid is class love it

  • I totally believe that this video is real, but the plane at 1:06 looks like it could be done with CGI with almost complete ease! The plane is real of coarse, I don't even question that, but isn't it interesting how people can CGI different things and make it look real? Kind of scary truth wise at the same token.

  • i have my own 700mll telescope and i xcan garrantte these pics are not cgi

    its real lol

  • Nice! Great job with tracking and well collimated optics!

  • really great video

  • This vision is truly incredible

  • Bravissimo

  • surely if you can see small craters on the moon you can see stewardessed on a flight, or pilots if cabin crew are ugly? Btw there is some seriousness in that question!

  • There is a lot of detail in those jet shots, windows, tail fin flags. The planes are very small compared to some of the craters on the moon. But if you look closely in the third jet..2sd window from the back, there is a fairly hot looking stewardess waving at somebody!!

  • yeah thats true so how did he do it?

  • its possible, trust me.

  • Excellent. Tell me how did you attatch the video camera to the eyepiece? You did a great job there, i`m sure tracking was tough.

  • Thx. You get special equipment in telescopeshops for this. All you need is a small cam (low weight) where you could attach regular tripods. With this adaptation you center the cam perfect in front of the eyepiece.

  • Can you see the american flag on the moon? :D

  • very good

  • Wow, I can't believe how magnified someone can make the moon with a home telescope. :/

  • really makes you realise how fast the airlines actually go..

  • Thanks a lot. Yeah, cheap telescope´s from toy stores are ... just toys. :)

But my one is nothing special for astronomy use. It´s a good 8" Dobson ... but if you want, you´ll find a better one.

And yes, saturn sequence is filmed with the same telescope.

  • made me want to buy a telescope.

  • Planes are upsidedown for me as it is a reflector telescope

  • yeah, for optical use it´s not very nice ... :) i put my cam upside down on my eyepiece. then all is ok. :D

  • 4:23 looks like your in orbit around the moon

  • wow sutch great footage of a plane around 30,000 ft love the shots i look at airplanes wit mine love the vid:D

  • Search at vimeo for 6165539

  • hey does your telescope have a built in camera to film?

  • No, i mount a normal compactcam (Canon Powershot A75) with a special construction in front of the eyepiece. All is original, nothing built inside the telescope. :)

  • Hi,

Can You put this video with music on, for example, Vimeo?

    Greetings

  • I´ve tryed it some days ago, but it didn´t work. Now its uploading again... You´ll get the link, if it´s complete ... and work ... of course. :)

  • Can't wait :)

If You want You can also put in on download.

    Greetings from Poland

  • Nice nice nice

  • this is all really good stuff, I like it!!! keep it up!

  • nice

  • ZOMG chemtrails!! hehe xD

    1:03 an Alitalia plane

  • Nice work with your scope

Love the extended night shots with your house too

  • Im a pilot and am always amazed at how whenever I am 35000 feet in the air, it feels like I am not going anywhere when looking at the ground. When in reality we are flying over 500 mph. This view shows just how fast we are going.

  • what object is on 3.50?

  • Sun with sunspots.

  • Appears to be a shot of a sunspot on the sun.

  • Sun and these black places are sunspots (It was recorded with a filter).

  • great!!!

  • breathless..

  • wol amazing work m8!

  • always wanted to do that..catch a plane

  • very nice, the ole moon has sure taken a beating

  • i love it :)

  • men i will that telescope..

  • wooow very impressive contrails and nice moon shots

  • Fuck Copyright

  • Hello. Why do the images of the moon at 0:45 look "hot"? When I say hot, I mean when looking in a desert the" wavieness" of the air, hot.

  • That are normal atmospheric effects ... like in the desert ...

It must have a reason, why Hubble telescope fly through space... ;)

  • Just rename your music file to ghghghg and it shouldnt do it.

  • From now you have to look the video without music. Any idiot means that i´m not allowed to use the song with my video.

    Leckt mich doch am Arsch!

  • This is the best amateur astronomy work I've ever seen. I wish I had your equipment and knew how to use it so well.

  • Just use audioswap :)

  • I tracked a helicopter with my scope once, manually, pretty hard XD

  • very good job ;) the music is great, moon with his mystic beauty, and the planes..really amazing video :)

  • wow..great job. Really. Big Thanks for posting it

  • can't you try to see people in the window like that nerd guy's glasses from Me, Myself, and Irene movie lolz

  • nice video man. what's the song's name????

  • hey on that 5th plane @ 0:14 is that an oceaniac flight? I swear I seen kate and sawyer about to shoot john locke

  • It´s just a small Lufthansa Airbus. :)

  • man that takes alot of skill to follow a fast moving plane with a scope. i usually lose them after a second

  • wow perfect with the music!!!

  • Enjoyed the footage. I love looking at stuff like that with a telescope. Very Cool!!

  • Those planes are hauling ass!!! LOL!!

  • Really great footage my friend! Cool video and Music.

What about trying to film the ISS?

  • that would be cool if you could see the passengers in the planes.

  • Excelente video amigo !!!!!

  • cool video friend

  • Hi, if i use the right way to calculate the magnification, it should be 200x. :)

  • what was your magnification for the majority of the airplanes you filmed?

  • why didn't the apollo astronauts bring a telescope with them? Imagine how clear the views of the galaxy would be without the interference of an atmosphere!

  • Why on earth does your reflector show as much color aberration as my refractor?

  • what kind of camera did you use?

  • I dont get it you cans see the Moon but not the planes.

  • Really amazing! Congratulation!

  • super video!! compliments!

  • yes hi, uhh I'm working on making an unmanned balloon Lunar flight..with video cameras attached to the balloon as well as a steering mechanism, wish me luck sirs..

  • Excelente trabajo amigo!!

yo he tratado de hacer lo mismo pero no me ha resultado.

saluods desde el desierto de atacama!

  • Thanks for posting. I love it.

  • Very good footage!

  • theres to much heat wave to see any of those the craters are as big as islands. what kind of telescope was this im still experimenting with eye peaces

  • cool were all the pics taken w/ a scope? and Orion is awesome at the end

  • Nice

  • WICKEDDDD!!

  • good job!! pas facile le suivi au telescope !de plus j'adore Deftones ,,ISS now !!

  • well done. Thanks for sharing.

  • I've often wondered if it is possible with the right telescope to aim the view across a region of the moon where one of the Apollo missions landed (like 11) and see marks or a chance reflection from any kit thats still sat there on the surface. I would imagine everything is probably still in situe as it was when we saw images from the surface 30 years ago, and there seemed to be plenty of reflective heat shielding scattered all over the show upon departure! You never know, great to spot.

  • No telescope (even Hubble) would be able to see marks of Apollo missions because the image would be at diffraction point.

  • NOOO....."APPARENTLY" we arent able to see the flag or any of the instruments including the bottom half of the lander which is pretty damn big. weird huh? apparently no telescope in the world can see it but we can see other galzies with some. makes no sense to me. and no im not sayin we didnt go there. but its just kinda strange and i wouldnt be suprised if we didnt

  • you see those craters on that moon? theyre a couple of miles wide, even small ones. whats the chances of seeing a tiny craft on it?

  • very good if you know the exact location of it and you have a telescope that is made to those specs. but no one has ever thought to make one like that "apparently"

  • and what are those specs?

  • i dont know. but i know for a fact that someone does. know what lense size and other stuff you would need.

  • The reason we can't see the flag and the lunar module is because of thermals.

There is a much more detailed explanation available on the Internet, and any astronomer who has been practicing for over a year will be able to explain it to you also, but in a word: Thermals.

  • Do you realize that the Andromeda spiral looks 7 times the size of the moon? In most telescopes, you can't even fit the whole thing in the field of view.

  • what are you reffering to here? I'm not sure. and where in the sky can i view the andromeda spiral? I havent looked for that ever.

  • It's nearly overhead right now after sunset. You need dark skies and dark adapted eyes to see it as a faint smudge of light. You need to remember that the most important thing a telescope does is bring in more light, NOT MAGNIFICATION, meaning making dim objects look bright. I use around 200x-300x magnification on the Moon and planets, while only 20x-100x for galaxies. They are very far, but very massive.

  • hmmm...thats funny. i love the sky and space and go out at least 5 days a week(weather permitting) and always ge pics and use my telescope...but i never looked at a galaxy before. i'll have to start as soon as the weather improves here on the East Coast.

  • Yeah, I live in New England, and we are expecting to have another ice storm tonight and tomorrow. The last one we had knocked out some schools for over a month.

  • yea we are having a very minor version of what you would call an ice storm. it snowed for a few hours and now it changed to ice/rain...so my school is on a delayed schedule tomorrow. but i wont be able to use the extra time to look at the sky cuz of th clouds. so i hope they clear up tomorrow night for some good viewing.

  • Cool, what state do you live in?

  • Pennsylvania...kinda near Scranton if u kno where that is.

  • Yeah, I've been through Scranton before, just driving though.

  • I have a 10 inch Newtonian Reflector gathering dust for the past 4 years. This video makes me want to set it up again, gaffa-tape my camera onto the eye piece mount and start filming. Maybe I should just keep admiring this splendid footage instead, you've clearly mastered the technique. Great stuff!

  • good vid and music well edited i prefer to have a none refractor telescope my celestron is fiddly hefty and week now i want something like you have there coooolll

  • Nicely done.

  • this is amazing i want a telescope soo bad. can anyone tell me a good one to get for a beginner ?

  • try meade etx 90 125pe or celestron 5se or 6se good bigginer scope with goto i have celestron 6se

  • There's some fine work here. I salute you!

How do you track the aircraft so closely? I couldn't begin to follow them that well with binoculars, let alone larger equipment.

I don't have sound, so I apologize if I'm missing something...but what is the size of the scope? Is it a 200mm?

Thanks for sharing. Keep 'em coming!

  • Thanks a lot,

yes i have a 200mm telescope with 1000mm focal length. Im not sure about the rest of the equipment. I took either a 9mm or 15mm occular. So the visual extension is about 111x or 66x. My camera had an zoom about 3x. So completly i have the planes 333x or 200x bigger than normal. It´s both enough to get them in high quality on video. :)

Sorry, but i couldn´t explain why you don´t have sound. You are the first one who report about this problem.

    Greetings from Germany. :)

  • Wonderful video!!! Whats the name of the song?

  • remember it was gerry gilmore that said go public. watch in high quality sorry at this time your tube are not letting this film play in watch in high quality i wounder why ?

  • hi,

i don´t know why it doesn´t work in high quality. i´ve just uploaded it and i can´t remenber that i had an option to choose an high quality upload ...

but i try to check out how i could upload the video in best quality. :)

  • How do you find out where large aeroplanes are headed to anyone? I live in Ireland and can see planes heading out west, so I assume their coming from Europe heading to america. The other day I saw a four engined plane(through binoculars) with the tail and engines completely red. I think this is a virgin atlantic plane. Any ideas?

  • I don´t know exactly from where they come and where they go. If i catch an JAL, it´s clear that the plane comes from japan, but there are too much destinations in europe.

That what you see goes in west direction of course to america. If they flying east, all is possible. Europe, unitet arab emirates... in this direction are many destinations, too.

And the plane with red engines and tail could be virgin atlantic or maybe air india with new colors. But air india have additional a red belly.

  • very nice and original.

  • that was awesome

  • That's an amazing video. Thank you very much. You should be proud of your work.

  • That's wonderful!!!!!!!!!

  • good video its pretty amazing to see that (contrails and rings, everything good vid 5/5

  • This footage is really beautiful. Top marks !

  • TELESCOPE R THE BESTEST THING IN THE WORLD! i have a Mead Telestar.

  • How did you filmed that? or with what.

And how did you found Jupiter?

  • I filmed the most material with an skywatcher 200/1000 telescope and canon powershot a75 digital camerea. The time lapse sequences are made with pentax ist*Dl.

It´s not difficult to find jupiter. It´s the brightest star on sky. But it´s not the whole year seeable. Some month´s he is too close or behind sun.

  • Sweet!

  • What type of telescope is that ?

  • That´s an skywatcher dobson with 200mm primary mirror and 1000mm focal length.

  • Brillant, love it!!

  • yo, nice closeups of the moon.

  • Very good video

  • Good video shows how quick planes really are and gives us a good insight of planets, like it (Y)
