@ronnor10 I got mine, started watching the DVD last night, the nostaglia was overwhelming, SO SO good seeing them re-visit the flat they lived in back when trying to get a record deal and seeing Carol and Ronnie back in the same room together.
this song and t'pau in general remind me of my friend Sammie, she was a huge t'pau and madonna fan, she died 18 years ago aged 19, rip! we love you sammie!!
T'Pau and Carol ... to me the most impressive of all singers in Rock/Pop.
Everytime I hear her, when I bought the CDs back in time 'til today, her voice and the music bring this still desire ...
I "lost" her for some years, left the CDs in the backrow of my closet. Thanks to youtube I'm now listening every minute it's possible - just like twenty years ago!
My fav song? Impossible to name one. Nearly each of them is a gem to me!
T'Pau were a truly great band, who were underrated at the time. They combined great pop songs with musicianship and quality vocals of course. Commercial success with the first album didn't stop them producing a follow up that was less radio friendly in some respects, but still contained great songs and showed geniune lyrical intelligence. Only the lonely is one of the best observed songs about loneliness written, and sung with conviction.
I'll never forget the 80's... T'Pau was one of the greatest artists in a time of great music. Thanks to Carol and thanks to "tpau2007" for posting this beautyful song...
JimiM70, I agree with that to a degree, but in recent years there have been more artists coming out that do have heart in their songs. I particularly love James Morrison right now, Broken Strings is just a lovely song.
I miss groups like this. Songs that touch the listener. You can't help but relate too the song your listening too. Todays music is missing the heart and emotion of the 80's and 90's.
One of my favourite songs EVER. I met them in an album signing in Dublin years ago - I gave Carol a card and like the lady she is she wrote back to me with LOTS of signed band merchandise and a fantastic letter that I have framed still to this day. Great Band - Check out their Greatest Hits. Is a brilliant album!!!!
This has been my favourite T'pau song for the last 20years & tonight is the first time I've seen the video! I first bought the 7" single which had a hideous scratch at the beginning, then I got the album (never really liked the album version). A couple of years ago I got the 3" cd with the Nightmare remix, now thats something else!!!! Oh yes, and I agree Rage is better than Bridge of Spies.
This is a different version from the album, sounds good, gonna get it sometime. Carol's voice is just amazing, I fell in love with her the minute I heard their first song!
just bought the whole cd album of their hits, what's wrong with me, im still stuck in the eighties, but these guys are still brilliant, keep them coming...even thinking of the carol decker perm..wow..
Brilliant! forgot how good T`Pau were, saw them in 1987 at the SECC IN Glasgow, was that really 20 years ago? music has gone down hill since then, we love the 80`s when i was a teenager.
Awesome voice. not sure about the hat!

She is like Sandra on dress style, with Belinda Carlisle/Sandra voice like, and Elizabeth Montgomery look mixed with Nicole Kidman.

I think the rage album was much underrated. I like it more than Bridge of Spies. Between the lines is one of their best singles.

Hardly a surprise, but Carol was a serious crush back in high school (with Mrs Robertson the maths teacher!).
Took a lot of stick for liking t'pau instead of Erasure and such like.
