If you are a sprinter, jogging is probably not going to help although very light, limited jogging might help a bit with recovery. We have to ask "what is the goal" and then work backwards. if you are trying to win the 100 meter dash, lots of jogging is not going to help. For the average person, a little jogging is fine. For serious athletes who rely on power (baseball, football, etc.) I would seriously limit or eliminate it.
hey , i usually run alot (for conditioning) at 80 max heart rate for 30 minutes and i wanted to know if that actually is bad for my fast twitch muscles
after i did alot of research , alot of it . i used to jog for about an hour for stamina so i had to be serious about the research once i've heard that it might affect my power and speed as im a martial artist .
and jogging should only be used for warm up , and for real cardio use hiit .
do the research yourself its the only way to be sure , if you dont know what hiit is , the nigative effects of jogging research will automatically include hiit anyway .
