  • @Anike82 lol I was thinking the same thing.

  • @Anike82 ZINGA!!!

  • "Trickle down theory" Lmao. That was a direct strike at how the Republicans wanted and still try to "fix" the economy

  • @Mafia1779 Reagan actually had a policy called the Trickle Down Theory.

  • Team Sinclair

  • what a brilliant and funny programme!

  • @DLPBurke Definitely

  • EVERYONE SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!! this is dinosaurs!

  • @LonesomePine369 lol that's what I'm saying

  • If this were made today I'd swear B.P. Richfield is supposed to represent Obama.

  • @Cenamark2 not obama the republicans they are the ones that are saying lets privitize medicare and medicade some of the repubicans have also said to get rid of minimum wage and i can prove that to

  • 6:23 Hope you lose LOL! That baby is classic!

  • B.P is like a REP. he favors the Rich and not the poor, but does B.P have an oil spill to clean up lol. but this is like of today's world we fell for what they say but they are not for it but we fell for it, that is why we can't trust them.

  • @deathswat Its not supposed to mean anything. Its just a show with puppets.

  • @Cenamark2 i know they are puppets but if you look at it, it's like what we have today, BP is like a REP who care about making money, give to the RIch and tax the poor. the shows maybe Funny, which they are but half of the stuff they say, it's True, if you think about it.

  • @deathswat If you think about it, you will actually discovery that both in this story, and in the "nuts to war" story they spin a false scenario. It might have a basic basis in reality, but the facts do not line up with actuality.

  • @OpenMawProductions its actually not i can prove that they mentioned it on a real news station called tyt and the government does withhold info about the deaths in wars and thats why wikileaks is being attacked and stuff because they tell the truth about the wars

  • @deathswat ya and thats one reason these shows are of the air they are bought by the republicans and shit and if they do even remotely balanced news they get fired and its fucked up

  • @kazooga1234 If that were true, The Simpsons would have been booted off long ago.

  • @ExplorerDS6789 they dont do democratic stuff they do more republican things or just joking things and its not just one sided like this this is truthful stuff that they dont want on tv any more

  • @deathswat There is no such thing as a REP who wants to tax poor people more than rich. They just dont believe in taxing rich people more than the poor. All you do when you tax the rich more is create more poor people, because the rich (employers) are forced to cut jobs, or cut salaries.

Richfield though, in this instance, is a poorly constructed parody of a Republican. You can tell this because he uses the term "trickle down economics" but gets the entire logic behind it wrong

  • @OpenMawProductions Most jobs created in America today are by small businesses. And most small business people are NOT rich. Tax cuts for the rich are just another form of corporate welfare for billionaires, which are paid for by borrowing money from China (a rising world power and a future enemy of the United States). What we need is a simpler, fairer tax code for everybody. But don't hold your breath waiting for it.

  • @OpenMawProductions You can't be serious. We've had far higher top bracket tax rates in the past, and the economy didn't have massive (or even higher) unemployment rates like you're implying. In the 50's we had top bracket rates as high as 90%.

Most of the wealthy are born wealthy, and vice versa. With progressive taxation and more social spending, it gives people a greater opportunity to succeed; countries with higher top rates/greater social welfare spending have higher economic mobility.

  • @BenkaiDebussy "Most people are born wealthy"....Not trying to start a politcal debate during a family t.v. show, but how exactly do you know this information? What are the exact numbers of people who are born wealthy versus people who aquire wealth through legitimate means?

  • @OpenMawProductions

you are right, trickle-down economics is not actually based on the idea that the rich will drop money and the poor will pick it up.

  • @OpenMawProductions Um...of course he gets it wrong. It's not poor construction; it's just pure exaggeration for silliness. You're taking this show way too seriously.

  • @OpenMawProductions then explain the bush tax cuts that is cutting taxes for the extremely weathy and then the money made up for that is coming from the poor

  • @ 4:42 he's going to fall.

  • Pancreas? Yurk!

  • We see...they fell for it

  • @Bladerunner93 @ 7:23 EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT.

  • "Earl, the centerfold girls aren't coming." hahahaha
