i m from costa rica and i was there last year, i love chicago but one of the things that i feel was a bad experience was when i was eating in peace close to the fountain and a gang began to shoot it was crazy i was very scared because i thougth it was a terrorist attack haha :S

I enjoyed your video! I moved to Chicago two years ago and still have to make it out to the Taste. Didn't make it this year. Any recommendations for next year as far as when is the best time to go and on which day? Thanks! :-)

The great thing about The Taste is that it goes on for so long, 11 days, so there's plenty of time to go.

I would say your best bet is to go during the week in the early evenings. It's still gonna be crowded but not as crazy as the weekends would be.

Unless you really enjoy being part of a huge crowd of people, July 3rd (when the have the fireworks) is typically not the best day to go.

There's always next year!

We went on opening night there weren't a lot of people there. I know, I can't believe that someone got killed and 4 others were shot, it's very sad that you can't even go out in our city and enjoy the events.
