  • Very nice video!

Your band is invited to participate in the youtube “Elizabeth Reed” Battle of the Bands. The contest is titled; “The Elizabeth Reed Showdown". Permission granted from Dickey Betts Management.

Check out Dickey Betts web site where it says, "Online Battle of the Bands" at:

  • i only question using duanes crazy ending lick at the end of the first solo instead of the second?

  • the drummer and the guy on the prs are freakin nasty. and that breakdown towards the end was nice too. good job

  • that big guy can play!!!

  • no doubt....a lesson for us all: don't judge a book by it's cover y'all

  • Seeing the original Allman Brothers Band lineup at a small club in1969 and later in a smaller club in 1972 this song seemed to last close to 20 minutes both times. Nobody left while they played or went to take a reefer break. I think they enjoyed playing smaller places just for the closeness of the crowd. They seemed to feed off the energy in the audience. Song loses a little from no keys or congas, but a great cover. They seemed to be in a groove.

  • @TheGunslinger5854

yea my grandfather was lucky enough to have gregg and dickey sit in with his band at a small club in upstate ny... could only amagine what that was like

  • This cover is very similar to the Fillmore East. You're very good guys!

  • The BIG GUY plays good... but why don't they (and any cover band, for that matter) just learn the IMOER Dickey and Duane solos note-for-note - then they'd really knock everyone's socks off.

  • Which performance should they learn? This song is an improvisational piece. Dickey and Duane probably never played it the same way twice.

  • One of the better ABB covers I've heard in a while. Thanks to Glenn Wasserman and Barry Zion and their crew!

  • This is a really good video! I just need to a get a few more guys that I can play this song with. Very good job

  • the big guy's solo flowed very smoothly

  • big respect

  • Awesome, dudes.

  • excellent. the two guitars complement each other nicely. my band played this 25 years ago and it was our absolute favorite jam song. brings back memories...

  • It was quite good.

I've played guitar for 33 years.

  • the guy playing lead is either VERY out of tune or playing in the wrong key

  • It's a tiny bit higher like 1/6 of of a whole step, but that's what allman bros did at filmore east, so it is original.

  • Wow, I really like the big guy's guitar moves! Who is Glen and who's Barry?

  • Glenn is the big guy, Barry's on the left playing the Goldtop.

  • I take that back it fits in fine it is just not the original, and everyone commenting either doesn't play an instrument, or they play guitar.

  • Why is everyone hating on the drummer. He is really good, whaat he is doing just doesn't quite fit in.

  • too many PEOPLE TALKING IN THE BACKROUND SHOW SOME RESPECT gj anyways

  • this was almost perfect, except for the drumming, the guy has no idea what he's doing, the durmming here sucks! its not even 1% like the original song, although 2 drummers preform the original, you should've still played one of them, not improvise. sorry to be brutally honest.

  • ugh. guitar guys are fine but the drummer is killing me.

  • Drummer absolutely killed the bass's solo! You couldn't hear the bass the well because the drummer was to busy pounding on them.

  • nice gig, guys. That's a tricky tune as far as tempo and time changes- good job

  • Great job! One of my favorite Allman Bros. tunes. I played this one with my brothers when we were kids. You guys have great taste. I think I'll post an acoustic version using my loop sampler. That would be a challenge.

  • when you were kids? what age? if you were like 8-10 when you played this hard song, you must be godly...

  • I was making a positive comment about the post. I really did enjoy it.

I played this with my brothers when I was eighteen or so. My fifteen year old brother played Dickey Betts parts. It is possible you know.

  • a fabulous rendition; too bad about the impolite audience that offered continuous noise. Shut up already!

  • i love how that guy on the left is so into the music, way to be haha

  • that was great

  • very cool

    well done cover

  • Okay! so nice play!awesome.

you seems to be Duan.but Where is Glegg?
