Lol, I know, People get rich and famous off of music, and it's kind of a strange phenomenon when you think about it. Personally, music is just part of my family. My Dad and my Uncle were both in a garage band together in their younger days. My Dad turned me onto music by getting me "Californication" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I listened to that album a million times, started buying albums, then picked up the guitar and have been playing for 8 years. Music's just in my genes.

How poignant, I bought my first synth with my first 4 weeks wages, a Roland SH101, then an amp, then a TB303 bassline, then the drumatix TR606, aged 17 stopped music all together, 28 years later my son plays bass and guitar, I picked up his guitar one day, no knowledge of guitar, got my head around tablature, bought a nice Ibanez RG recently.

This is a pretty neat guy, this Bobby Crispy. Good teachers ask unexpected and thought provoking questions. I play because I am into producing an awe-inspiring tone (Fender Tube Champ and PRS Santana now) and because I am hooked on the surprises that come from improvising on a progression or melody.
I probably can't say much that hasn't been said- but my guitar is pretty much my closest, and truest friend. Music just has so much power, and can convey such raw emotion... It can change people. Make them think... If you can change someone by playing a song on a couple strings, make them cry... it has to be something powerful, right? For me, personally... I use it to escape mentally when I know I can't physically. At 14, I spend my days in school, thinking of it while I'm in a practical prison.

Made me a "goth kid" and I was ridiculed daily. Bands like Slipknot, Korn, and Marilyn Manson saved my life. Wgen I would think about suicide or being violent towards bullies, I would listen to music, and it let me know that the artists went through the same things, and now they were succesful rockstars. It's humanity's oldest, sanest, and greatest creation. It doesn't need any other explinatiom, it just is. That's why some people are born musical proidgies, music is cemented into the human race. So much, that hope, faith, love, and life can be lost, but NEVER music.
Bobby, I like music because it gives me an incredible feeling of freedom, that incredible feeling of perfoming...Secondly, it's international. I mean that people all around the world, like you and me for example:) get close to each other because they have same passion. And we can even jam and and compose something new, isn't that great?!
I've never been allowed to play music. I've been given lessons, but practice at my house has always been forbidden and when I did try to practice I was ridiculed so I never allowed my skills to progress any further than rudimentary level. Even with all that, music has always been the one thing that no one could take away from me. It fills the void and makes me whole. Books are an escape and a good one, but music gives me what I need to deal with the world when I can't handle it anymore.

It brings out things that are stuck inside my subconcious and I need to take care of. hi Bobby, music is important to me, because in some songs i hear the sadness and emptiness i felt when my mother committed suicide. I was 10 years old. The sorrow and utter helplessness that overcame me, could not be expressed in words. But some guitar sounds-at least to me- seem to. Emotions, the beat that in hip-hop make me bob my head, the sensation of being touched by music in a way thats almost chilling, becoming motivated, running walking, relaxing, stimulating, music is fun to play, to cry and be joyful, songs to sing to, instrumentals that tell storys, so many reasons i love music
I listen a lot to metal music, and I love it because the emotions it can invoke can be so different. There's a lot of upbeat, energetic metal out there, angry stuff, but even heavy stuff often invokes hope and joy in me. I also enjoy amazing ballads that are great to listen to if you're sad, like Virgin Steele's ''Child of Desolation'', great track.
So yeah, music never lets you down and I can't imagine my life without it.

My Dad and my Uncle were both in a garage band together in their younger days. My Dad turned me onto music by getting me "Californication" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I listened to that album a million times, started buying albums, then picked up the guitar and have been playing for 8 years. Music's just in my genes.

Unfortunately, I think that music is losing its relevance, the all consuming passion that previous generations had for music, has been watered down by technology. Video games, cell phones, i-Pads, texting, tweeting etc etc are now as important (or more) as music to the average young person.

while I was in my 5-9 years I was bullied alot and when I got inyo music I went for hard rock first because it helped me move on...somehow. now i'm listening to jazz, country, rock, some hard rock, pop, and music is the only thing in life I can really connect with. That's why I picked up the guitar, because music is just amazing, I could listen to Metallica, or Megadeth all day and never get bored, and still have 80 other bands on my iPod to select from. I probably can't say much that hasn't been said- but my guitar is pretty much my closest, and truest friend. Music just has so much power, and can convey such raw emotion... It can change people. Make them think... If you can change someone by playing a song on a couple strings, make them cry... it has to be something powerful, right? For me, personally... I use it to escape mentally when I know I can't physically. At 14, I spend my days in school, thinking of it while I'm in a practical prison.

I've been playing guitar for 25+ years, not because I aspire to go on a world tour, simply because it is a form of expression, or maybe more of a release for creative energy. Guitar playing for me is a personal thing. I play through headphones, I don't need to be judged, it's my diary in progress.

Made me a "goth kid" and I was ridiculed daily. Bands like Slipknot, Korn, and Marilyn Manson saved my life. Wgen I would think about suicide or being violent towards bullies, I would listen to music, and it let me know that the artists went through the same things, and now they were succesful rockstars. It's humanity's oldest, sanest, and greatest creation. It doesn't need any other explinatiom, it just is. That's why some people are born musical proidgies, music is cemented into the human race. So much, that hope, faith, love, and life can be lost, but NEVER music.

Bobby, I like music because it gives me an incredible feeling of freedom, that incredible feeling of perfoming...Secondly, it's international. I mean that people all around the world, like you and me for example:) get close to each other because they have same passion. And we can even jam and and compose something new, isn't that great?!

I've never been allowed to play music. I've been given lessons, but practice at my house has always been forbidden and when I did try to practice I was ridiculed so I never allowed my skills to progress any further than rudimentary level. Even with all that, music has always been the one thing that no one could take away from me. It fills the void and makes me whole. Books are an escape and a good one, but music gives me what I need to deal with the world when I can't handle it anymore.

Music as a listener to me is feeling almost. Pink Floyd takes me places I have never been before, and no I don't do drugs. It brings out things that are stuck inside my subconcious and I need to take care of. Take for example the song echoes some parts make me feel like some kind of hero, and some parts make me think reallly deeply. As a musician music to me is my hands wanting to say something. Something that I can't articulate in words whether I know it or not.

hi Bobby, music is important to me, because in some songs i hear the sadness and emptiness i felt when my mother committed suicide. I was 10 years old. The sorrow and utter helplessness that overcame me, could not be expressed in words. But some guitar sounds-at least to me- seem to. Two examples are the guitar solo from led zepelins "the rover" and for the helplessness i would say zeps "when the levee breaks" - thanks for your videos- much appreciated

Emotions, the beat that in hip-hop make me bob my head, the sensation of being touched by music in a way thats almost chilling, becoming motivated, running walking, relaxing, stimulating, music is fun to play, to cry and be joyful, songs to sing to, instrumentals that tell storys, so many reasons i love music

I listen a lot to metal music, and I love it because the emotions it can invoke can be so different. There's a lot of upbeat, energetic metal out there, angry stuff, but even heavy stuff often invokes hope and joy in me. I also enjoy amazing ballads that are great to listen to if you're sad, like Virgin Steele's ''Child of Desolation'', great track.
So yeah, music never lets you down and I can't imagine my life without it.

Music is important because it gives the world an opinion, it lets you be able to think about important stuff that people may not notice for example war theres been lots of songs but when you actually listen to what the singers saying it can turn your view on it in a different direction, without music people would be controlled and mindless.

I listen to music because it makes me feel relexed. When I'm stressed, I listen to music or play my guitar, it realy frees my mind. Every day I have to listen to music and play my guitar a few hours.

Well.. I play guitar because I can't express myself in words, so I choose music, in society I don't talk very much, I just listen to music. In highschool I hate everyone, they all make fun of me behind my back and they lie to my in my face. Fuck them all. I will not forget what they do to me when I'll be someone in this world, I only have 1 friend and that friend really knows me and what I'm saying.. so this is my life..
