I keep thinking about that story on Knots Landing where Gary blew up underground spy systems and he inadvertently caused the Lotus Point water to be filled with toxic chemicals.

They had a way bigger budget back then though. They started cutting back on soaps in the 90s. I doubt ABC let him go way over budget but they would practically spoil their soaps, so who knows.

I know! i can't stand him, that guy makes me sick! I like how OLTL and Frank Valentini still show him wrong since they are the best looking show on ABC and Daytime in general in my opinion. The sets look so good. They don't even need to go HD! Now if only Carlivati can shape up the stories.

@soapfave06 I agree. to be honest, I don't see any difference between Normal and HD. Ron should take a small break from writing and go on vacation. He's ruined many characters lately (Todd, Rex, Gigi, Lee Halpern), just for the sake of highlighting other stories and characters.

He really should. He needs to go back to whatever position he had before, get to know the characters again and realize that this show is not about goofballs and whiny women! Then he cancome back, he needs a co-HW. I think he would do so much better that way. He has ruined stories that were good, main characters are only the boring teens,Todd, and then Rex and Gigi.

I also agree about the HD comment. AMC and GH don't even look that great with HD. Both looked better before, Its a waste of money

@soapfave06 Ruined character I forgot to mention (Rebecca). It's also become hard to watch Tea and Todd's relationship as a result of the rapemance. Now Tea just looks like a desperate tramp.

Plus, in my opinion, Crystal Hunt was a wasted opportunity. She's a good actress and if they hadn't made her so damn unlikable, I'd be happy to have her on the show. But Ron screwed it up just to give Oliver a kid, which could have been done far better. They should have Stacy like Sandy on B&B.

Crystal hunt is talented I give her that, she tried to make it work. Making her like Sandy on B&B would have been great! OLTL needs a story with emotion. They haven't had a good emotional story in a while.

They did ruin Rebecca as well and Pamela Oliver!

I don't like the Tea and Todd reunion either they should never had broken them up last year now it seems forced. Florencia Lozano (?) is so talented and is wasted. And the Mitch story, I should not even go there. Where is Tina?
