  • @burncy No sorry bud just a few pics if i knew how to post them i would!!

  • What is the main line of tools use?

  • @Gigglyable Unitool, why?

  • @burncy Ahh just wondering......

  • what components do u need for the swap?? please reply

  • Im 17 and i bought one that has a 305 in it as my first car, it needs some fixing but the car is beautiful

  • i kno it is all original the tranny is original it got a shift kit in it but i think it might b going cuz it makes a noice when it shift and does any one kno where i can get a headliner at and i want to kno wat motor to get i might get the 327 and put money in that motor or the 350 with no miles fresh rebuild

  • @gtc04bmx u lookin for a 350 i have on for sale 4 bolt main block was just machined to .28 will be a 355 if gets finished fresh motor great casting year 71 truck motor

  • i am going to put a 350 motor in my monte carlo ss but i need to kno if i have to get a new tranny i got a 305 in it now idk wat kinda tranny is in it now

  • @gtc04bmx You can keep your actual tranny for your 350ci. Fits perfectly. Your transmission is a TH350

  • @burncy ok thanks

  • love your monte i have a basic with the 4.3 its my daily drive but i think your the first person to inspire me on not makeing mine an ss clone

  • @GAZISGANNAFREEK thanks man!

  • @burncy no problem monte carlo for life :) "keep it classic"

  • system of a down fuk ya !!!

  • finally a monte left the way it should be and not all shiny and a lowrider and shit like the monte carlos are good enough right outta the factory.

  • i just put a 4 barrel 350 in my monte i finished today its fucking amazing that 229 v6 was a piece of shit. all i had to change was the flywheel, starter, fuel pump, moter mounts, distributer, plugs, y pipe, and i cut the fan shroud down to fit, and maybe few other small things that i cant remember lol but it took a few days to get it all right but wow so worth it

  • @WALNOHA woh woh.. no way... i have the exact same engine u use to have and i want to do the same thingg.. can i ask you a fwe questions??

  • @overated15 whats up with the nigger shit?

  • @themstripboyz i think he was just commenting on how completely stupid 24inch wheels look on monte carlos... or actually, in general, they look stupid on anything.

  • yea but thanks what kind of motor mounts did you use

  • huh! It looks like you didn't receive my first answer to your question... :( youtube's fault... Anyway, for your 355, use V8 engine mounts, if you don't have any, you can find them in any UAP , carquest, GM dealers or over the internet.

  • no the v6 mounts ain't gonna work you have to use v8 mounts any chevy v8 will work you might already found out by know

  • thanks! yeah , i hate when they put 24's on these cars. My 16 inch wheels are just okay

  • cant wait for this winters engine swap on my 81 monte, so stoked!!! this projects comin along

  • at idle outside it sounded like a harley

  • I had a 350 in mine for the longest time, they work great but my 572 blows it away (obviously).

  • nice monte carlo

  • what kind of motor mounts did you use cuz i have a 84 monte carlo that came with a v6 but took it out and gona drop a 350 bored .30 over

  • my motor mounts on my old V8 267 are the same has my new 355 so I still use those original mounts. But I don't know if the V6 mounts are the same as the V8.... I think there not the same. Or maybe they are the same, but you can move them farward on the frame to fit your 350

  • @moneymaka775 no the v6 mounts ain't gonna work any small block chevy will work u might already found out by know

  • Yeah I got a wicked (looking) 87 LS in black but only a six. I've wanted to change the engine for years so I'll be watching to see how u do. Do u have to change the transmission as well?

  • i don't think you need to change your transmission, if i'm not wrong, V6's also use the TH350. The easy way to see if it's really a Th350 is looking at the trans oil pan, if they're is 13 bolts, it's a th350. They can take alot of torque, up to 400fp. What engine you want to put in there? oh! and thanks for your subscribing!!

  • Man your doing what I am getting ready to start doing I also have an 1981 chevy monte carlo baby blue and it has a 229 v6 in it with a 350 turbo trans. Once I get a little more money I am going to get a different car and convert all my time and other money to fixing up the monte.

  • cool! do you planed to get a bigger engine?

  • Fucking sweet, man. I got myself a '81 MC Landau. Been putting a lot of time and money into her, she's a beast! Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

  • damn, good work, nice car.... but the engine kinda sounds like my old washing machine when it's idling lol!!

  • wow that monte carlo sounds nasty, and it kinda sounds like a harley motorcycle a little bit

  • thanks, that was the 267ci, now it's a 350 bored to a 355ci. Now it sounds very sick!

  • and the part 2 ????????????????????????????

  • the 2nd part is not done yet, but as soon as possible i will post it

  • I used to have a '82 with the 267 and glasspacks, that sound brings back memories

  • the 267 sounded like my grandfathers truck did

  • yep great sound

  • woow wat an idle. i love the sound.

  • Love the sound of that 267 trying to start/runing/key buzz sound. i had a 82 with the same motor, it brings back good memories.

  • Cool video ! You make it look really easy taking all the parts off.
