Οι Μακεδονες ηταν Ελληνες και αυτο πιστευαν για τον εαυτο τους. Αλλα και οι λαοι (Περσες, Εβραιοι, Αιγυπτιοι κ.λ.π) δεν τους ξεχωριζαν απο τους Ελληνες. Οναμαζαν το Μεγα Αλεξενδρο ..βασιλεα των Ελληνων.. Ο Αποστολος Παυλος οταν ηρθε να πρωτοκηρυξει το χριστιανισμο, στους Φιλιππους, στη Θεσσαλονικη, στη Βεροια στα Ελληνικα κηρυξε και στα Ελληνικα εγραψε τις δυο ..προς Θεσσαλονικεις.. επιστολες του, και την ..Φιλιππησιους..

Οι Σλαβοι εμφανιστηκαν στα βαλκανια επι Βυζαντιου. Δηλαδη πολλους αιωνες (περιπου 1.000 χρονια μετα το Μεγα Αλεξανδο. Η γλωσσα που μιλουσαν οι αρχαιοι Μακεδονες ειναι η Ελληνικη, οπως μαρτυρουν οι δεκαδες επιγραφες και τα αρχαια μνημεια. Η Θρησκεια και ο πολιτισμος τους ηταν ολοιδια με των υπολοιπων Ελληνων.
Την Ελληνικη γλωσσα και τον Ελληνικο πολιτισμο διεδωσε εξ αλλου ο Αλεξανδρος στις χωρες της Ανατολης, μεχρι τη μακρινη Ινδια, μεχρι την Αιγυπτο.
