rlly rlly kewl. how do u make vids? like how do u play the music, and then make slideshows wit the lyrics, and stuff. im not an expert but i need help. and i agree wit pg-13. it has some disturbing things. im 13 so i can watch it, if they ever think of making it a movie. it would be rl kewl. Yeah, I'm wondering how the rating is going to turn out. I think a major factor is going to be how the "release" scene is filmed, although I don't think there's really any way to sugarcoat that without totally ruining the story :/

wow great traler. i just finsihed reading this for my glass but i am interested to continue the apparent series, but i didnt know that there was a continuation to Jonas because i just herd that there was another book all the messenger and that was suposed to be with jonas gone but with the giver.

Thanks! I haven't read the other two books yet (Gathering Blue and The Messenger) but I've heard they're really good. Although I kind of prefer The Giver as a stand-alone book b/c it was so powerful on its own.

I don't know if Chris O'Neil is actually going to be in this movie at all. (He should, though.) Anyway, The Giver is a book by Lois Lowry about a young boy named Jonas who lives in a futuristic utopia where there is no war, no prejudice, no sickness, etc. But, at the same time, there is no love, no color, no music, no real feeling. Jonas only discovers what the true world is when he is chosen to work with a mysterious elder called the Giver.

As for the ending, I kinda like it open-ended; it suits the spirit of the book more and leaves the reader to interpret it however he/she wants to :D
