  • this band is good, one of my favs.

  • after listening to the dark third today for the first time.. i had the impression in my head that this band would be very suave on stage...

  • You should see them now; they're pretty self-consciously suave, they've turned into a bunch of sell-outs. It's all electro

  • They are not sell-outs, they just love keyboards. It's pretty hard losing a multi-instrumentalist, mainly in their case (no more violin, back-up bass or keyboard). The way they incorporate multiple keyboards in their sound is just perfect. "Selling out" would be if they gave us another The Dark Third, since all the progressive rock magazines and website hyped it so much. They're my favorite band by the way, and Gloaming is my favorite song of theirs.

  • So instead of getting a new instrumentalist they just replaced him with 42 keyboards... It's just laziness. And Gloaming is awful. They used to be my favourite band, but seeing them all hunched over those stupid synths pumping out all that generic electronica just makes me wince. It's such a shame.

They used to be unique, but it's clear that came from elsewhere rather than Chloe and Jon.

  • If you do know other bands with "synths pumping out generic electronica" in a similar way, I'd like to hear about them... And Gloaming isn't awful, it's only more of an acquired taste...

And I've never seen a "keyboard band" before, except 65daysofstatic, and they are pretty fucking far from "generic"...

  • It's true much of the dark third was not written by either jon or chloe, to my knowledge it was written by greg jong.
