Have you noticed any weirdness when you plug in a classic controller? I have the black set (wiimote plus + wireless nunchuck) and it works great as long as I'm pressing buttons on the Wiimote itself. However, if I use the classic controller pro with it, it works fine for about 5 minutes, and then it goes to sleep. Batteries are brand new, and I erased all sync data on the Wii and did a new permanent sync. My other 3rd party wiimote does the same thing though, so maybe it's something on the Wii.
@OysterBoy91 Aw well that sucks. It's not a deal-breaker to use a Nintendo wiimote for the classic controller, but if it weren't for that one little hiccup, this Memorex one would completely replace my original ones.
I had fun using that controller for New Super Mario Bros Wii. Sometimes has problems connecting and reading the nunchuck or classic controller but its a good pickup for $50

btw the memorex remote is NOT GOOD for the wii menu, the pointer flys everywhere
