@schlachthauz, the 14th Amendment, Section 1 is clear that those affected by the amendment must be under the jurisdiction of the United States, meaning they were here legally, be it by normal immigration or as slaves. Senator Howard of Michigan was clear it never meant birthright citizenship of illegals or diplomats. The freed slaves needed that portion of 14th Amendment, I would agree.
@schlachthouz. The motive behind the video is to get people interested in our seminar. It is a mind blower.
I think if the drivetrain of the constitution was repaired and put back into operation, immigration would cease to be a problem. Not because immigration would cease. But because there would be more room for immigrants.
TEA Partiers are on a rescue mission of this country...and they are succeeding. Wait until they participate in our seminar! They will do better ten-fold!

Ah, now I understand the motive behind this video. Its an anti-immigration video. I am an American of European descent whose antecedents date pre-civil war and fought in all major American wars as regular soldiers, but I yet question this tea-party anti-immigrant concept lately. It overlooks something integral about our double-standard democracy: these immigrants come here as reverse colonialism. There is an interesting video from a "Father Roy" about the school of Americas.
The 14th Amendment made citizens for former American slaves. (Other African Americans were already citizens.) Now the 14th is making citizens of newborns of illegal aliens. The 14th has no current value and needs to be repealed. It is most destructive of state sovereignty. See the link on the 14th Amendment at Repeal1913.us.
@oldpatriot2 These illegal aliens began coming here after the Panamanian War, when we began the US empire. Imperialist nations are bound to get heavy immigration from the lands that they conquer. Too bad nobody listened to Mark Twain and the American Anti-Imperialist League back then. If we have these immigrants now, its what we have coming to us. If you ask me, we can just get rid of the entire Bill of Rights. Alexander Hamilton said some interesting stuff about them in the federalist papers.
@schlachthauz Alexander Hamilton was right that a bill of rights will tend to become the only rights (which is why the 9th Amendment was written). However, England, the birthplace of our law and individual rights, has shown what happens without a Bill of Rights: you end up with even less rights!
I don't see your connection between the Bill of Rights and immigration. They are mutually exclusive.
@schlachthauz That is true as it pertains to slaves in the Slave States. It did not pertain to African American living in "free states;" they were already citizens. (See the link above for a more detailed explanation.
@schlachthauz However, the interpretation of the next sentence destroys state sovereignty and gave corporations the same rights as you and me. The Constitution was to restrain the federal government, not the states.
Thanks so nuch. Love and light to you
